115 reviewsI found the location ideal as it is in a very quiet part of the town and at the same time a 25 minutes easy walk from the train station and a 20 minutes walk to the beautiful but touristy historic center. The staff were simply fabulous. Very good English spoken and such a friendly and helpful attitude. Very informative. Open minded. As a solo traveler I enjoyed the lot of interaction as it helped me better understand Romania, Brasov and the region beyond as well as plan my daily activities. The breakfast, buffet style, was very tasty and offered good variety of items. The room was very large, nicely decorated and so quiet. Great shower. Very comfy bed. Rooms are on the first floor and there is no elevator but a very large wooden quiet wooden stair. WiFi is provided in all areas. Brasov is a very nice city. Not only the old historic center. I loved the style of the houses in the region. A saxon heritage I understood. Lovely. Mother nature is absolutely fantastic. Hills and mountains (think 2'500 meters max). Still very green end of September. I love my afternoon trip to the Bran castle (Vlad, Dracula) using a bus from Autogara 2 (ca 30 minutes easy walk from Casa Iacob). Cost 9 lei each direction (cash only). Well I will definitely be back and I will look no further than Casa Iacob then.
