This was horrible. I was called to check in after 8 pm. That's what I tried. I arrived in front of a closed door. Pushing the door bell only resulted in hotel staff cursing at me. I have stayed in over 100 hotels across almost 40 countries. Apeldoorn is my birth town. It turns out that it also has the rudest hotel staff in the world. I am just amazed.

The hotel refused to let me stay despite a reservation

A good starting point for bike trips and city visits. The centre is easily accessible on foot. Breakfast is OK, staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms were partly quite small, but suitable for our two nights. The bathrooms are simple and small, but practical and OK.

Good location, friendly staff

Hotel is very adequate, nice welcome and cheerful service, breakfast is a continental buffet and you can buy wine in the evening if required. Room was very small and basic but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Within walking distance of Het Loo Palace and just off the bus route from the station. 

Basic but in a beautiful area. 

Very friendly welcome. Small room, and even smaller bathroom, but exactly what we needed. Nice cool beer in the evening and a lovely chat. Very quiet environment. Can't fault it. We will certainly stay there again.

Lovely family hotel

We arrived after 10 hrs (as we had informed the hotel) , the main door was closed and a not so friendly staff member in (his pyjama!)  opened finally the door for us. This after calling a few time the emergency number (which was not answered).
Rooms small and simply equipped, The hotel had a  smell of cats. (cat in corridor!) 
Heating was off, although it was autumn.
Bathroom very outdate. Did remember us of our grand parents. 
No coffee and tea facilities, no safe.
Breakfast served at table (no buffer). Staff was welcoming, offering a newspaper. Checking if everything was okay.

Thanks to the atmosphere a the breakfast table we have rated the hotel a bit higher

Out-dated Family hotel

We spent one evening at this pension located in a quiet Apledoorn neighborhood. The accommodations were comfortable. Their breakfast the following morning was quite extensive and filling. Good value for money. We would recommend it.

Clean with nice service

I've been coming here for 4 years and I know what to expect and what to expect. Price/performance suits Holland! Large hotel chains often don't offer breakfast and no free WiFi! The TVs are a little small for the DFB Cup, you can live with it! For 60€ more you can get into a VanDerValk or BestWesters, but I don't think it's worth it! For the money you can make better diesel! Not perfect, not 5 stars, but two is fine!

Not to be confused with

It is located on the outskirts of Apeldorn, on a quiet street next to residential houses. Given the size of Apeldorn, the outskirts are 10-15 minutes on foot, or 5 minutes by bike to the city center. But it is very convenient and close to the main attractions of Apeldorn - Het Loo Palace and the Apennheol Monkey Park. The room is already quite ruined. Pillows are lively and uncomfortable, a small old TV, not very many roses (but its lengthener).

A small family hotel

We booked a three-bedroom and got the number 16. It was narrow, but that's not the real problem. The bathroom floor was shady in the shower area. It's said that every year the kit is out and there's nothing you can do about it. In addition, you hear every bathroom and shower on this side in the house. The kitchen is right next door and the beds are extremely soft. I asked the owner for a new room because I barely slept the first night, but it was all booked out for him.

Don 't take room 16.

The hotel's website gives good information. A warm home, typical Dutch breakfast, peaceful, and pleasant. Three nights of deep sleep. We were able to visit Apeldoorn on foot and drive to the nearby towns, the national parks. The hotel is located in a neighbourhood of beautifully flowered single-family houses and absolute tranquility. The people there are charming.
