Spent 4 nights here. Very quaint hotel. All the upstairs rooms had a balcony that had a view of the ocean. All the rooms had different pricing. Rooms 1 and 7 were next to the water pump that beeped sometimes. All the staff we encountered were very nice and spoke some English. Within walking distance of Cortez Marina and right across the street from the malecon.

The customer's attention was super friendly. Acceding to my needs, (2 quarters) and by occupation, I was convinced to stay here for 3 nights for work reasons (airplane pilot) and as such. I described and discussed what happened to me at this price. The RESERVA was to have the phone number, the range options in the area ($900 - $1500 pesos) this was the best comment. The customer's attention was super friendly. Acceding to my needs, (2 quarters) and by occupation, I was convinced to stay here for 3 nights (airplane pilot) and as such. The attention is like a hook but with many shortcomings.

We are writting this review although we couldn't spend the night in the hotel for some travel problems, Nevertheless, for us, as important as the hotel service, is the capability of fixing problems when they appear. And the response of this hotel was 10/10.

We had booked one night at this hotel in the middle of our trip in Baja California. We had problems with the transportation means, and arrived around 10 pm. Surprisingly, the hotel was closed and there was no security or a bell to ring. We tried the phone number but nobody answered. We never thought that a HOTEL (not apartments or similar) didn't have any late arrival option, but the truth is that looking to the last page of the hotel conditions, it is written that check-in ends at 9 pm :(
This is the bad part o the story. But, when we claimed, the response of the hotel was fast and efficient, understanding our frustation and returning the cost of the night to our credit card.
And don't forget to check the check-in time schedule to avoid surprises

Good response when problems appear

Nice little hotel very well located a minute's walk from the malecon, nice boss who speaks French! The beds are very comfortable. Very easy to park in front of the street. The environment is rather quiet!

That's very well placed.

We had a very nice stay at this great little hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating,  the room was clean and as advertised. The location is great,  being just half a block from the Malecon. We were there during Carnaval and in spite of the hotel's proximity to the Malecon, noise was not an issue. Wifi was good. Would stay here again any time.

Nice Stay

The malecon can get a little noisy at times, so I was pleasantly surprised that being a half block off of the malecon really made it a lot more quiet. The staff is friendly and one staff member in particular (I forgot his name!) was fluent in English and went out of his way to help secure me some tours for me very last minute. 

The rooms are basic but clean enough. I had a king bedroom on the bottom floor. The air conditioner worked well and the TV also worked and had cable (so you can watch football and other sports if you want). The bed was comfortable enough (a little firm but not uncomfortable). They also offer drinking water (and you can grab more in the lounge at any time). They had two night lights for reading that also came in handy. 

Two things that I'd love for them to improve on: 
1) General cleanliness. My bathroom shower had hair from another guest on the shower wall. The floor of my bathroom also had many dead insects on the floor, which meant that they didn't sweep the floor after the last guests checked out.
2) More amenities in the room. It's a very basic room and I'm not sure I could stay more than a couple of days here since my room had no fridge or coffee pot etc (I love making tea at night).

Best Hotel (location-wise) right off the Malecon

We enjoyed the convenient Malecón location for El Centro of La Paz. Very relaxing patio & courtyard spaces with roof top sunset view. Rooms very spacious and clean with Mediterranean flavor. Hotel people and services were exceptional. Great value.

Great Location, Relaxing Space, Nice Rooms

We loved staying at this hotel. The hotel has basic amenities that one need during their stay.  We had room on the second floor with a veranda that did not have any noise from the street. The courtyard was fantastic to sit at night. There healthy and generous breakfast options. We enjoyed our stay.

Friendly Crew, Good service

We stayed at the Hotel Mediterrane in April 2019, in order to go swim with the whale sharks. This small hotel is very close to the main oceanfront walk area, but far enough up the side street to not get any street noise. Walking along the ocean walkway at night was enjoyable. The hotel has a small restaurant, but we only ate breakfast there -- which was very basic, but cooked correctly and delivered timely. The staff was very friendly and spoke enough English to communicate adequately with us gringos. The rooms were not large or fancy, but everything worked fine and I found the room to be fully acceptable for a one night stay. I found the bed in my room firm, but acceptable. My golfing buddy found the bed in his room to be more firm than he cared for. There is a small common courtyard area outside the rooms that was fine for sharing a bottle of wine in the evening after our oceanfront walk. Street parking was available nearby and went without incident.

Secure and convenient room.

What a pleasant surprise to be greeted so warmly by Jahziel upon our arrival.  Jahziel made our stay at the Hotel Mediteranne even more welcoming than the lovely atmoshpere created by the owner.  Our room was upstairs with a balcony.  We had a small view of the La Paz beachfront.  Hotel Mediterrane is quiet, peaceful.  We walked everyday on the Malecon in the early morning.  Upon returning to the hotel, Jahziel would make us each a cup of delicious coffee, which we took to our balcony before breakfast.  Breakfast in the  morning is a choice of a few items.  I had Huevos Rancheros twice, and boy oh boy!, were they ever good.  The hotel is only 1/2 block from the Malecon - easy access to every part of the city.  Everything we needed or wanted was provided for us.  There is a restaurant, Zoe, at the hotel.  Their staff, too, was amazingly attentive to our needs/ wants.  We would stay at Hotel Mediterrane again, especially if Jahziel were to be there.
