Basic but very cute cottages in front of a very nice beach perfect for swimming, sunbathing, walking...and some other activities. The bar and restaurant is also very nice, you can even take your drinks and food to the beach. 

Nice and relaxed place to enjoy the beach

Please keep this a secret!!- I love this place. The staff are friendly, polite and very helpful. The setting is idyllic- the accommodation clean and comfortable. food is great, what is not to like!  Sadly it can become a little noisy at night due to a local disco. But I really like it here and feel very safe. But please keep it a secret!

A little bit of paradise

I stayed two nights at this beach village and so enjoyed my time here. The staff were very friendly and most helpful. Food was fine and room clean and tidy. I really appreciated that they organised my taxi to the airport. 

Loved my time here

Simple huts directly on the beach. Perfect if you like it simple and want to stay right on the beach for a good value. The room had a bed with mosquito net, fan and table.
The room was clean in the beginning but due to the natural ceiling, there was lots of „nature“ falling on the bed. The staff is friendly. 
It took 2 days for me to get a towel and cushions for the beach chairs would great. 
Either I got lucky or they really decreased the volume of the Musik in the neighboring place. 
The food is very good, let’s say mid-range to expensive. But a bottle of water for 2500 is way overpriced. 
Unfortunately the WiFi did not work at all and in the common area, you would have to pay extra. 

Simple beach huts 

I love Kipepeo! 

This was my third stay, this time I stayed in a beach banda and it was wonderful to wake up to the sound of the ocean. It is well lit at night and there is a guard so it felt safe walking to the toilet/shower block. The bandas are further from the music from the neighbouring bar so are quieter at night.

The staff and management are really helpful and friendly. 

I enjoy the wide range of food and drink available on the menu. 

I stayed during the rainy season but there are plenty of covered areas to relax in during rain storms. The beach banda was a bit damp.

Home from home

We spent two nights here and had a great time. The staff are friendly and helpful, the beach is beautiful, our rooms were comfortable and we felt very safe. Food and drinks were great and atmosphere was lovely. A special thanks to Dorothy for her hospitality and helping to arrange transportation for us. 

Great spot

I first visited here six months ago and was happy to return again. Staff and management are welcoming, attentive and efficient. Food is delicious (I love the fruit at breakfast). Even at low tide you can still swim in deep water. The sunbeds, although hard, are plentiful as is shade. Rooms simple yet clean, plenty of hot water and relaxing hammock. Last time there was loud music at night from a neighbouring bar. This time it was only one night. 

A relaxing place by the ocean

This was my second time staying here, first time with my family and a group of 10. And the second time with Bae..hence why I went back for the second time cause the first time was amazing 😻.
We stayed in the Charlet which you have to walk to through a mini forest 🌳 passing monkeys 🙊 each Charlet has a balcony that looks out to the beach or the wild, it’s a beautiful and peaceful experience. There was loud music coming from a bar miles away that played music all day and when we came back in the evening the music was still on and went on until 6-7am  but I actually enjoyed it cause the DJ was good to be fair and music was poppin plus I like noise while asleep so that’s me I guess. 
The Charlets are really romantic actually. For breakfast, you get a slip and you tick what you want, it’s very very basic but it was delicious and really filled us up, I loved the coffee section 😔. Staff are super sweet and friendly and it was nice they recognised me the second time so I felt special. 
The beach is quiet but some of my white friends did get hassled a bit on the beach ( pictures, people selling stuff, people staring right at them) so we had to go back to the hotel area. We didn’t eat at the hotel cause we loved going out to the town and eating local food and mingling with the locals. Friendly people and good buzz outside.
I will always come back for a little getaway

Peaceful and relaxing

Relax staying , very friendly staff and good food. In 1 minute at the beach and good service. Enough place to stay and relax, and very relaxing. The WiFi was not good but very nice if you even want a break from your Phone. Very safe to leave your money and Phone and go swim or a walk.

Relax staying

We have been coming to Tanzania for two weeks at a time for two years and always start and finish our vacation in Kipepeo. In recent years we have often spent the whole time here and in the end we have only the anticipation of the next time. We have to name the dreamlike location (do not let you be impressed by the adventure approach), the service, the kindness and the almost family-friendly treatment with the guests. Continuity with the staff does something else. Every question, every hint, every problem() gets the appropriate attention. The beach is beautiful, a day after Dar es Salaam or a trip to the outlying island is recommended. There are many opportunities to experience Africa pure. Believe you!
