Nungwi Dive Centre

We picked this company out of the three on the island for a few reasons. Out of the three we called they sounded like they wanted our business and were willing to be flexible for it. Their pricing with rental equipment was better than the other options. They also offered free transport, which the others did not, which was important since we were staying at Afro Beach Bungalows about a 20 minute drive away. They also arranged their diving schedule around our needs and wants while still advising on the best conditions and times. Their boat is small which we preferred. I get quite sick from the smell of larger boats’ exhaust and this boat you could only smell the fresh air. The equipment was in great condition and our local dive master was very focused on safety, but also not controlling after he had a chance to observed our skill level and behaviour on the first dive. (We signed up for 6 but did 8, it was so good). The shop even went so far as letting us camp on their property with our tents for one night to reduce on transport and park fees. Alpha (DM) and Baraka (Manager) were helpful and charming at all times. I have completed almost 90 dives and this company was one of my favourites over the years for overall experience.
