it was only a flight stopover but hotel was near the airport and comfortable and clean. Downsides were wifi lastes 15 minutes. the free sirport transfer is in fact 30 usd return but they were friendly enough and on time for a 4am pick up.Food wasnt available.

Business layover

I booked through hotels.com and said my flight would be getting in after midnight.  The hotel asked to be notified about arrivals after 8 pm... well, their phone number doesn't work and they don't have a website so I asked hotels.com to contact them and confirm we were getting in late and ask for airport pick up.  Apparently transfers aren't available any more.  So at 2 am there we are in a taxi driving through the slums of dar es Salaam hunting for this hotel which is behind a tall wall and locked gates and looks NOTHING like the photo.  The gatekeeper let us in and kept banging on the sleeping manager's door trying to rouse her.  She whined and complained and refused to get up for about 20 minutes and then came out wrapped in a sheet... and didn't speak English.  The gist of her conversation with our taxi driver was apparently "go away."  We had prepaid the room and it took our taxi driver, his dispatcher (by phone) and the gatekeeper to coerce her into giving us a room.  It was stifling hot, had one towel and an odd bathroom with the shower above the toilet that sprayed the whole bathroom.  It did have a bidet, but no toilet paper so you just had to drip dry.  In the morning there was NO breakfast, which was supposed to be included and the woman insisted on payment.  We'd already paid, months ago, so we just left her fuming.  Terrible, terrible hotel.

Worst hotel in 40 yrs of traveling

I would give this hotel zero stars.  We arrived about 2 am as we had arranged in advance through hotels.com.  We tried to contact the hotel directly but they don't have a working phone number or website.  It's in a slummy area, which fits the hotel itself.  Our taxi driver got the gate keeper to let us in but he couldn't make the whiny female manager get out of bed to give us a room.  After a lot of pounding on her door and phone calls by the gate keeper and our taxi driver, she finally came out wrapped in a sheet to stand sullenly and act like she'd never heard of anything so outrageous as putting travelers in hotel rooms.  The taxi driver called his dispatcher and he even talked to this woman until she finally allowed us into a stifling room with one towel and no toilet paper.  It did have a bidet if you don't mind drip drying.  And the shower was on the wall opposite the toilet and not enclosed so it sprayed the whole room.  Plus the next morning we had to argue all over again that the room was paid in advance and we weren't paying again.  Breakfast was supposed to be included but there wasn't even coffee, much less food.  Just happy to leave this dump and will never return.

Worst hotel in a lifetime of traveling

This hotel is a complete scam, the hotel was completely unlivable and we were forced to leave and go somewhere else.

Dear all, how should I start my first ever Terrible review?
With the beginning I guess:
1. We were supposed to be picked up at the airport upon arrival (21st of October 2016) as advertised in the booking by a free airport shuttle. We weren't expected by anyone and after a few calls and 40-50 minutes later someone showed up in an unmarked car, no air conditioning and highly suspicious. We decided to just go with it anyway.
2. Friendly and quite helpful driver until he brings us after a 10 minute drive to a weird not-yet finished construction. We assume that in a few months to one year it would be a cute hotel. Right now it was half a hotel. We were told that this one is much better than the one we booked... even the manager of Naam called us and told us to stay there... Of course we freaked out... in the middle of the Dar slums, at an unknown hotel (to be) and being taken for idiots. We made a riot and told our "driver" to take us to the right place. It took a high amount of convincing until we were finally delivered there.
3. Upon arrival, it did look like the pictures but the front desk was occupied by two completely unaware and surprised females that, of course, spoke no English whatsoever (which is actually quite rare in Tanzania). Not aware of the reservations or what they should do... it took some convicing and were placed in 2 rooms that looked roughly like in the pictures and had airconditioning, which is important. They were not aware that we were supposed to get breakfast and airport shuttle but after a few explanations through English and body language we agreed that we will get some... breakfast... 
4. We found some cockroaches in the bathroom which we assassinated with hot water (so yes, we had hot water) but otherwise it was... fine..
5. Upon waking up and packing we experienced the breakfast... some bread... some instant coffee and 2 boiled eggs... God almighty...

We left the place behind and thanked God and went on with our adventure...
Don't go there, just don't... save your vacation and your mind...

From beginning to end the worst experience with accomodation of my life...

Power constantly went out, they ran out of food and the WIFI was down.I had left early both times and no breakfast was supplied early in the morning, or made for me the previous night.On the occasion that i booked in online, i waited over 2 hrs for the hotel transfer to come.Nice enough shower on the first stay over, but second stay over was crap.
