Mustapha's Place

Bwejuu

We came the second time and stayed for 4 nights. It was great again. The staff is friendly and the breakfast nice. The kids enjoyed the pool. The place is like small green paradise with all the plants and beautiful with all its small houses and huts. You can walk barefoot on the sandy paths all the time. A unique place with a special atmosphere, very kids and family friendly.

We booked in good faith due to photos and rewievs. The place is scruffy, not near the beach as we were lead to believe due to photos. Bungalows small and humid, no AC. We decided not to stay, the owner (italian lady) denied cancelling so we had to freeze card and go through the bank!

Not worth the money they charge

This is the most disappointing reservation...
When we arrived to this scruffy overgrown place we had a shock...but I'm sure it would have suited Bob Marley & The Wailers in their early years to smoke a joint or two...
The rooms were small dark and no AC. 
They advertise themselfs as being on beachfront, that is a lie...the beach is not even visible ... not at the beach..not child friendly and no AC.. being eco friendly does not mean scruffy...this is scruffy...

Eco friendly pretending...simply scruffy

We stayed at Mustapha's Place for ten days and we didn't want to leave. It is just the most lovely, laid-back, comfortable place you can imagine.  Our room was simple, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. The property is filled with trees, plants and flowers. The large pool is really nice and it is very well-maintained.
Bestof all is the tiny bar/restaurant that serves really good food.  The menu isn't extensive, but the dishes are well-prepared and the food is very fresh. The staff are all very friendly, polite and helpful.
It is not directly on the beach, but it is only a two-minute walk. 
the neighbouring hotel has begun to play music until quite late some nights, but it didn't bother us.
We would come back to stay with Mustapha and his crew anytime.

A Peaceful Paradise

We stayed for two weeks in october 2022 and it was such a great place to stay .
The staff are so lovely , most live on the grounds and are always there to smile and help . Evenings by the fire mixing with everyone and hearing about their lives was wonderful. I want to thank Alexandria for all the help and good tips on what to do and see . She is there most days , and if she is not responds straight away to whats app messages. The pool right in the middle of a lush jungle like garden is really lovely .
Food and  the  cocktails are brilliant .  It really felt like a little corner of paradise . 
Mustphas place is about 3km walk to Paje , which we did often , very easy walk along the beach to town, we preferred being a little outside , as Paje does get busy .
Lovely white sand beach, two minutes walk down a sand path also very easy and nit too many people at all . We will absolutely come back to Mutaphas place thank you again all the staff for looking after us .  All our best , Sasha , Yann and Leo's

wonderful place

We spent several nights at Mustapha's place in Bwejuu. This place is a real haven of peace. The rooms in the trees, walking barefoot in the sand all day long, the relaxing pool, the fireplace every night, the zen atmosphere that reigns in this hotel, the food... in short everything was amazing. The white sand beach, empty of tourists just a few steps away is a real luxury! Our stay would not have been the same without the staff! Always smiling, listening, useful... A big thank you to them: Alexandra, Roma, Khalfann, Queen Sana, Mboya and everyone else! We will return without hesitation :) Asante

A little corner of paradise

We have three of us, parents with a child, living here in one of the bungalows for a few days. Two large beds with a fixed mosquito net, which is also absolutely necessary. Overall very cool, great atmosphere, without having to give up a bit of comfort altogether. To the room: on the top floor of an individual bungalow, mainly made of wood, with a rather steep/narrower staircase. The lighting is a little clumsy, and the wood construction is careless. Two large beds with a fixed mosquito net, which is also absolutely necessary. The back and front balconies, where you can be greeted with a little comfort, are much nicer. The very nice, very simple bathrooms, which are very close to the bathrooms, are very nice. There are no extra sockets of water, but unfortunately, there are no extra sockets of food, except for the early breakfast, and afterwards there is a super breakfast room, a supermarket, a supermarket, a supermarket, a restaurant, a restaurant, a restaurant, a restaurant, a restaurant, a restaurant, a restaurant,

Highly recommended to avoid package tourism

Kids love it here. Welcoming. Thank you for the playground. We came here in 2016 and again now in 2022. The pool is amazing. Hard to leave. Easy to come back. Also very hard to find a place this amazing for our family at less than $100 usd a night. Thank you again. We will certainly return some day when we have enough pennies again. 

Also really like that this place is inclusive. People from all over the world. Locals and tourists rubbing elbows. More our style.

I would never visit Zanzibar without coming to Mustaphas place

We really liked Mustapha's place, hanging out all day barefoot in the sand, the hotel is beautiful we would think of it as a green oasis, the garden is super well-enclosed, the superb pool.. it's very unpalatable! We loved Mustapha's cocktails, the food and the generosity of the staff and especially that of Mustapha the manager, a very human person with a big heart, he even offered us 1 son of morenga at the end of our day and offered us cocktails and small things for the 10 days we stayed there :) The rooms were superb and equipped with mosquitoes, very natural, in communion with nature and the place we really loved it:) It was a magical holiday to see the beautiful beaches but we still loved the beaches, the beaches and the beaches, and we still loved to go to the reception with the people who had the best time of their lives, and we still loved to see the beautiful beaches and the beaches, but we still loved the beaches, the beaches and the beaches, and the beaches, and the beaches.

A small paradise

Everything absolutely for enjoyment and looking down. Very friendly, attentive staff, everything very clean! A large room with a very good price-performance ratio. One small disadvantage, but only for kitesurfers like us: the kitesports are about a 30-minute walk from Paje. But every day was a pleasant beach walk.
