Bara, owner of the La Maison Rurale, was an incredible host. We felt so looked after and so at home in his hotel. The food was terrific and the breakfasts on the back deck looking out on the dunes were amazing for the views and the traditional Moroccon breakfast. The rooms are simple but very clean. On one occasion we got stuck with our rental car in a neighbouring village that did not have a mechanic. Bara arranged for one to drive out to meet us and then haggled the price for us to get a good deal. If you are planning a stay at Erg Chebbi I would recommend La Maison Rurale without hesitation.
