Located near the blue gate - lots of shops and restaurants - this hostel was great. Clean, quiet, but still a chance to meet others. Rooftop terrace and a full breakfast included. We were offered an upgrade for free. The staff were amazing and helped us sort out how to spend our time in the city. Would highly recommend for a nice hostel where you can get a good sleep!

We stayed for 2 nights because it was very comfortable and we felt like at home. The breakfast was tasty. Moussa was really nice and so helpful. He managed that our forgotten kindle found its way even to merzouga. Thanks once again!

We only stayed at Dar Jannat for one night, but it was wonderful. There was a small hiccup with our booking but Moussa sorted it all out in just 20 minutes for us. Perhaps the best hostel we've all stayed at. Good breakfast too! We miss Moussa already!

This excellent hostel is located in a peaceful alley in the chaotic medina. Very nice place to stay, good breakfast and a beautiful rooftop view. We needed a taxi driver at night to bring us to the airport, of which I was afraid this could not be arranged. The owner understands what a tourist wants and he managed to arrange that the driver picked us up from the hostel at night at the pre-arranged time. He is extremely helpful, which is often quite necessary since the medina can really feel like a maze.

We (family of 5 with 3 kids incl baby) had one night stay in Dar Jannat. The owner Moosa is a gem of a person. Always there to help out. Speak very good English so communication isnt an issue. Since his hotel is in medina (car free) so he came us to pick us up from the nearby gate. Once we checked in he prepared fresh and delicious mint tea. Then helped us carrying our bags to the top where our family room was. The room and bathroom were cleaned, although I must say the room floor does require a bit of renovation. Riad is very chic and traditional. You will feel the true Moroccan tradition in the architecture. It is also very conveniently located to all nearby attractions. 15 mins walk to the al-Qarawiyyin mosque and 5 mins to Blue gate, Madrasah Bou Inania and right in middle of Medina shops. Also 5-7 mins walk to a very good restaurant Le Tarbouche (must say it was one of the best dinner we had during our Morocco trip). I dropped a thing in the restaurant and only realized it once we were back in the hotel. Spoke with Moosa and he called the restaurant. Also gave me his jacket as mine was upstairs. When I was back prepared me mint tea although it was quite late in the night. Next morning we had the lovely breakfast which was plentiful and delicious. Also arranged airport drop off to Fes airport for 150 dhs. Overall I would highly recommend Dar Jannat.

Initially no response to my queries via email when I booked. Had to call him from UK but after that once I got his mobile no on whats app it was great communication. Also we arranged taxi pickup from Fes station but the driver didnt arrive on time and we waited there for 15 mins. Luckily there was a nice taxi driver outside station and Moosa explained him where his hotel was.

This is a fantastic place to stay, it’s clean and very central. Miss the host, went out of his way to be super helpful and friendly. He gave us a map on arrival and several yummy mint teas! He also gave us breaksfast very early when we were leaving for for a long day out. Big thumbs up!

Staying in Dar Jannat was a fantastic Moroccan experience. The host made us feel welcome and informed about the area. He ensured we were safe (when we needed a taxi early in the morning he arranged for the taxi driver to come to the hostel to pick us up so we did not walk through Fes alone at night) and gave us trustworthy advice.

We stayed here at the start of our Morocco visit and returned at the end because it was so amazing. The breakfast is lovely, the hostel is clean and the location is fantastic.

When you arrive you will be greeted by a mint tea and a friendly face.

This place is especially suited to those looking for a quiet safe place to stay in the Medina. I stayed in a twin room with ensuite which was fine.
Moussa the owner manager is a nice person who goes above & beyond to look after his guests.
