Flamboyant Boutique Hotel

Flamboyant B&B has a superb restaurant with views and direct access to the beautiful Diani beach. Sunday lunch(Boneless chicken curry) was excellent but also has   a comprehensive menu. The service was friendly and efficient and the wine and beer nice and cold. A great afternoon with good friends.

My friend and I had an amaizing experience here! The staff are super friendly and the service is outstanding. We were very well taken care of from the moment we stepped in! Excellent job at making us feel comfortable. I was glad to experience their Clean white beaches along with a beautiful ambiance. Down to the tiny details!

My wife and myself were lucky enough to find this Gem in Diani Beach Kenya.   The location was perfectly situated in front of Diani Beach.   The Hotel had lay down outdoor  beds all throughout the pool area.   The Pool was great, facing the Bar and restaurant.   The location was very private, yet still had easy access to the beach.  The food was great.  The price was very reasonable for what you received.  We met the owners.  Great people.  They arranged for a taxi to pick us up the day of our travels. The room was very clean and air conditioned   If you are looking to relax and see a true hidden beauty, please stay here and get to Diani Beach

Just returned from a week at the Flamboyant.  It was such a restful week - we are going to book again for next year.  Staff were very attentive and friendly.  The pool was an amazing place to laze the day away and only a few yards to the beach.  Food was simple but delicious. Position was ideal for me as I could wander along to the dive centre at Diani Marine.  Also a short stroll to the shops and a few restaurants.  But, once we were there we never needed to venture elsewhere.

For the 3rd time in Kenya at Diani beach we originally booked for a week at Flamboyant recommended by Italian friends living close by. We stayed even two weeks as we just felt home and not like in an hotel. This boutique hotel is run by Wayne and he has managed with his great team to create a wonderful and relaxing atmosphere. You can eat at whatever time you wish and whatever you desire eating, this private house modified is the perfect dimension for couples, imediate beach access, kite surf school, ideal position to walk to the village centre. 2020 holidays are already booked here again! #untagable #untraditional 

Our stay was truly fantastic! Staff was so helpfull and did make everything that our stay was perfect. We more than happily ate at the table and by the Menu of the Flamboyant. The food was delicious and great value of money. Hotel is boutique in sized and the touch of vintage and "Kenia" in general forgives the slight make-up needs in the premises. 

A fabulous experience with great beach access right at the resort, clean and stylish interiors. The courteous staff really take care of your beach and swimming pool experience. There’s a bunch of recliners by the beach under the sun and shade and wow!!
The owner also has a tree house experience property ‘Stilt Backpackers’ just 5 min walk behind this resort and that’s a must place to spend a day at to live and breathe in pure nature! Don’t forget to feed the bush babies at 7pm :)

This is a small, (10 room), hotel directly giving direct access to the beach. Rooms are a good size, air conditioning works well, while the bed we had was very comfy. The restaurant serves a reasonable daytime/evening menu, while breakfast was also good with the added bonus of someone to keep the monkeys away from enjoying the fruit element.

 There is a pool on site, but with the beach so close that is where we spent most of our time on the white sands and wonderfully warm clear blue water. There are also plenty of sun beds by the beach, plus adequate shade and we did enjoy a fresh coconut milk drink from one of the beach traders.  If anything needs sorting or arranging, then Wayne, the owner, is only too happy to oblige. Whilst there, it is worth popping to his other property, Tree Tops, across the road, where the food is far more basic and cheaper, with a more  relaxed and chilled atmosphere. Make sure you go at 7.00 in the evening when the bush babies are fed.

Fabulous quiet hotel, we were there when it first opened as a Hotel in 2017, Wayne the owner is simply the best, so helpful.  The Hotel has a lovely swimming pool and dining area overlooking the fabulous beach - cannot get better than Flamboyant for a small Hotel with great service

We didn’t manage to stay as we only found out by chance, but we visited, rented a Sun-bed and used the facilities all for only 5 dollars per person! Just ask at the beach. 

Excellent, the restaurant is very nice, the food was lovely and the prices were great for the area. 

The pool (see attached) is fantastic with areas for everyone. There’s water sports available here (Kite, Diving etc) and the beach front garden is perfect to relax guarded by Vincent who is excellent!

All I can say is go here! - great for families, adults and those wanting to get away for a day or two!

After a more than three hour wait to drive onto the ferry from Mombassa, we were ecstatic to finally reach our accommodation. Unfortunately we arrived late at night, saw the signage for the hotel, but got a little lost once we turned onto the road to reach the hotel - signage once you turn past the large sign would be very helpful. But once we got there, everything was wonderful. We were checked into the Mathai 1 Room. Which was very nice. Two quick things:  1. if you require a lift/elevator, you should not request this room - there are stairs to get there; and 2. While the room and surrounding are beautiful, the furniture and fixtures are a little dated - nothing major - it did not take away from our stay.  Because we arrived so late the kitchen was closed, but a quick boda boda ride down the road, we were able to get take away and bring it back to the room - we were starving from the journey from Mombassa!  The room overlooked the pool and had an unobstructed view of the beach and the Indian Ocean. The staff was the greatest!  So very nice and helpful. If I am able to return to Diani, we will definitely look into staying at the Flamboyant again!

Great trip

I stayed here in October with my huaband and 2 daughters.We were really pleasantly sùrprised and think it's fantastic value for money.The rooms are quite basic but you really dont spend any time in them anyway and the bathrooms are old but clean.The communal areas are where you spend all your time and the atmosphere was so friendly and relaxing.The staff are really helpful and while the menu was quite limited when we stayed I believe they have expanded it since then.We were allowed to use the 2 kayaks belonging to the owner which was an added bonus.Unfortunately we had to leave a day earlier than planned but will definitely stay here when back in Diani again.

Worth a Repeat Visit

I hated that I travelled here for one night only and for work!!! This place is such a retreat. No TV, though there’s WiFi. Few rooms makes for a lean crowd. A real retreat. Beautiful feature pool, well lit also for night swimming. Next to the ocean so beach access is easy and the breeze amazing! Rooms are air conditioned, and all the meals are ala carte, meaning fresh. (Beach hotel buffets are notorious recyclers) 

If you need to finish writing that book, or just need to recharge your batteries, perfect spot. 10 minutes fro the airstrip, perfect for a quick weekend getaway.
