The hotel is not posh but it's clean and you have all you need. The staff is really lovely and helpfull. The pool is clean and there are not many people in it. The beach is beautiful and the view is spectacular. It,s good to rent a car, but if you only want to go to nearby Pythagorio you can use a hotel bus for free + the driver is the nicest person ever. It,s a great place to rest and clear your head. Also a good starting point if you want to explore the island. I definitely recomend this place!! It has the right grrek atmosphere.

Strávili jsme týden na tomto ostrově a je to  skvělé místo na relax. podmínkou je - nájem auta. Pakliže toto máte, nic vám nebrání být každý den na jiné pláži, na jiném konci ostrova který hravě objedete za 4-5 hodin. Náš hotel Maritsa Bay byl 3 km od nádherného městečka Pythagorio, které má neuvěřitelnou atmosféru přes den a zejména večer. Místní lidé jsou strašně milí, ochotní a mají smysl pro humor. Na ostrově je bezpečno, lidé nechávají otevřená auta i věci na pláži, neměli jsme žádný problém. 
K hotelu : naše hodnocení je nízké. Majitelé se snaží, ale pravděpodobně to stačí na provoz, základní údržbu ale už nezbývá na nějakou větší rekonstrukci. Takže jak to v 70tých letech postavili, tak to je. Pokoje jsou čisté, ale všude je vidět, že to zkrátka už má dost za sebou.  To by nám až tolik nevadilo, neboť jsme byli stále pryč, jako kalný bazén, u kterého asi nefunguje filtrace. Jeho čistotu zajištovala výměna vody asi 1x za 3 dny... Dále pak naprosto zoufalé snídaně, kde buď byl řecký jogurt a nebyla zelenina ani vajíčko, nebo byla zelenina a vajíčko a nebyl jogurt. na výběr dále byly nějaké ovesné vločky, "šunka" či spíše lanchmeat, jeden druh plátkového sýra, jeden druh čaje, káva otřesné kvality a pomerančový džus z koncentrátu. Večeře se sestávaly z jednoho druhu jídla, servírovaného, nutno zase uznat, že se to dalo celkem jíst. Co se týče toho, co dnes zajímá každého turistu od 6 let věku - wifi - tak to je katastrofa. Připojení pouze v recepci a to ještě dost špatné. Centrální klimatizace funguje jen v noci od pul 10 do 8 ráno. Pro ty, komu vadí monotonní hluk doporučuji špunty do uší. Nejlepší na hotelu je, že všechny pokoje mají balkon s výhledem na moře, to zapomenete hned na všechny nedostatky. Jako další  plus lze uvést, že pro turisty hotel zajištuje transfer do Pythagoria 4 x denně. S obdivem jsem pozoroval, že tak starý Ford Transit je schopen vůbec jet.     
Další rady : dejte si pozor, zejména na východní části ostrova na to, že se vám mobilní telefon lehce může přihlásit do turecké mobilní sítě (Turecko je cca kilometr vzdušnou čarou přes moře). Pokud byste si něco stáhli (aplikace rády stahují), pak vězte, že 1MB dat stojí cca 300 CZK.  Taky stojí za zmínku, že v neděli jsou obchody (větší obchody) zavřené. 
Pokud bychom mohli doporučit, volte ubytování maximálně se snídaní. Oběd a večeře v tavernách, kterých je všude plno - například na pláži - je neopakovatelný zážitek i pro děti. Každý den můžete jíst jinde a něco jiného. Ceny v tavernách jsou do 10€, ryba do 15€, voda 1,5litru do 2€, pivo kolem 3.5€, domácí víno 0,5L kolem 5€. Velkou výhodou je, že pláže mají vesměs hned za sebou tavernu, takže si v poledne zajdete na oběd, koukáte na moře .... často bývají lehátka zadarmo, pokud si tam dáte drink. 
Z pláží uvedu jen dvě - jedna na severu - u městečka Potami - kamenitá. Kousíček od ní jsou vodopády, které jsou pěkným výletem na 2 hodiny. Dále pak na jihovýchodě Psilli Amos (pozor, jsou dvě stejného jména), která je úžasná v tom, že je písečná, do moře je dlouhá mělčina, takže ideální pro malá děcka. 
Pro dovolenou, která je pestrá a přitom relaxujete u moře je Samos skvělou volbou.    

We spent a week on this island and it's a great place to relax. The condition is - rent a car. If you have this, nothing prevents you from being on a different beach every day, at another end of the island that you can easily order in 4-5 hours. Our hotel Maritsa Bay was 3 km from the beautiful town of Pythagorio, which has an unbelievable atmosphere during the day and especially in the evenings. Local people are terribly nice, willing and humorous. The island is safe, people leave open cars and things on the beach, we had no problem.
To the hotel: our rating is low. Owners are trying, but it's probably enough to run with  basic maintenance, however no longer a major reconstruction. So, as they did in the 1970s, it is. The rooms are clean, but everywhere you can see that it's just enough behind. That would not matter much to us, as we were still gone, like a muddy pool that probably does not filter. Its cleanliness ensured the exchange of water about once every three days ... Next, then a desperate breakfast where either Greek yoghurt was not a vegetable or an egg or a vegetable and an egg and was not a yogurt. A selection of oat flakes, "ham" or rather lanchmeat, one kind of sliced ​​cheese, one kind of tea, terrible coffee, and orange juice from the concentrate. Dinner consisted of one type of meal served, it must be acknowledged that it was possible to eat it altogether. Regarding what interests every tourist from 6 years of age - wifi - it is a disaster. Connection only at reception and still bad enough. The central air conditioning works only during the night from 10 am to 8 am. For those who bother monotonous noise I recommend earplugs.The best of the hotel is that all rooms have a sea-view balcony, you will forget all the shortcomings.As additional plus, the hotel provides a transfer to Pythagorio 4 times a day for tourists. With admiration, I noticed that the old Ford Transit is able to go at all.
Further advice: beware, especially in the eastern part of the island, that your mobile phone can easily sign up for a Turkish mobile network (Turkey is about a kilometer across the sea). If you download something (application like to download) then know that 1MB of data costs about 300 CZK. It is also worth mentioning that on Sundays, the stores (bigger stores) are closed.
If we could recommend, choose to stay with breakfast at most. Lunch and dinner in the taverns, which are everywhere - for example on the beach - is an unforgettable experience for children as well. Every day you can eat elsewhere and something else. Prices in taverns are up to 10 €, fish up to 15 €, water 1.5l to 2 €, beer around 3.5 €, house wine 0.5L around 5 €. The great advantage is that the beaches have a tavern right behind you, so you will go to lunch at noon, you look at the sea ... often there are free sunbeds if you have a drink.
I mention only two of the beaches - one in the north - at Potami - a stony one. Close to it there are waterfalls, which are a nice trip for 2 hours. Then on the south-east of Psilli Amos (beware, there are two identical names), which is amazing in that it is sandy, the sea is a shallow so ideal for small children.
For a holiday that is varied while relaxing by the sea, Samos is a great choice

This was the worst hotell experience I've had in my entire life!
Dirty rooms.
There was hairs left from the previous occupants. Dead mosquitoes on the walls and dead flies in the bathroom light fixtures. The shower curtains was disgusting. Stains on the bed sheets and sandpaper for bath towels. Toilet was useless, you had to flush (and then wait 5min for it to refill) at least 5 times for anything to go down.

The breakfast was very lacking of options, dry bread and and eggs that probably been boiled days ahead that were gray on the inside.

Pool was big but there was no chlorine and it left you with a sticky feeling on your skin that started to itch later on.

The hotel is far away from the city centre so you have to rely on the hotel transfers to get you town but once you get there you don't have enough time to eat dinner and then make it back to the transfer in time which ment we had to get a taxi every night. 

There's two dogs at the hotel that are in serious need of care. Both are very dirty with big clumps of tangled fur hanging of them.

All in all it was horrible and it ruined our whole experience of Samos and we will not ever want to go back. 

Avoid at all cost!!

This place is a joke. A disgrace to Greek hospitality. Cobwebs on the furniture, air conditioning was controlled by management during the hours they wanted, old beds and towels that were rough like sandpaper. Dreaded going to the hotel in the evening. Definitely NOT a place where you can relax and enjoy your holiday. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Remove this hotel from your site. The hotel is closed forever. 
I was there for work and people - tourists , would show up with their family to stay in the hotel after they booked it online (?) but the hotel is closed and it has been closed for some years. REMOVE IT!
