Quinta Loren Hostería

I found Quinta Loren during an internet search. I was traveling from Salango to Ambato for Carnaval. Carnaval was severely restricted because of Covid but I went anyway. I am glad I did. Quinta Loren is located the very quiet Ficoa residential neighborhood. It boasts extensive grounds (including a soccer field), a banquet facility, a bar and a restaurant. There are numerous fruit trees, fresh fruit in the morning, rabbits that keep the grass trimmed and chickens for fresh eggs for breakfast. The room was large and perfect for a single night or extended stay. I stayed a total of 6 nights in Room 4 and appreciated the large closet and two dressers. The bed was very comfortable. Hot water was plentiful. The bathroom was more than adequate. Free wifi, a large flat screen with cable and a telephone were included. Since the restrictions of Covid had many places closed or fewer hours I mostly remained on site. The owner/host, his family and his staff were gracious, attentive and efficient. They all went out of their way to insure my stay was perfect. The restaurant was beyond belief. The menu is extensive and everything the chef prepared for me was delightfully delicious! The volcano steak was amazing! I even took some photos of that! What this all boils down to is, would I stay again and would I recommend Quinta Loren to others. Yes on both accounts. Quinta Loren is a jewel of a hosteria and I wholeheartedly recommend you chose Quinta Loren for your stay in Ambato, Ecuador.
