Great location!
Great staff always friendly, smiling and working hard, except for the lady owner who was a bit cold and unfriendly.

If wana just have a place of sleep and almost whole day you r exploring island, then this hostel is for you. Calm and clean stay. Next door there is an office with trip 360 tour around island, and it also worth to experience. it is close to the port, so dont forget to observe sunset.

Excellent option price / value / position

The location of the hostel is situated strategically in front of the pier. The owners are friendly and helpful as when we arrived the agency who made the booking for us screwed up our booking and we were told we did not have any reservation and the price the agency told us was not the actual price. Luckily, there is still rooms available and the owners gave us the price we were promised for the room.

Since it was still early, the rooms at the main hostel were still occupied and we were given a room at the secondary hostel two blocks away. The room comes with a balcony and the bathroom is clean with toiletries and towels but there is no hot shower. There is also no wifi in the secondary hostel, so it is a little inconvenient for us to contact the agency to resolve the issue. But we can use the Wi-Fi at the main hostel. Kitchen is small and kind of messy and a little dirty. Other than no hot shower and wifi, the rest are okay.

Hostal Leon Dormido is well located near the waterfront and close to all shops and restaurants. Rooms are basic (no window) but quiet nice with enough space, but the place is noisy (water pump shaking at all times and bad noise isolation at the point to be able to hear conversation from next room). I found the owner to be a bit square and, honestly, not very friendly. Wifi is very slow, but this is the case everywhere in San Cristobal.

Good location, lack of service, noisy

Decent place to stay for few nights. The personal are really nice people and you are close to everything. Not noisy, súper quiet place. We had a lovely night and we had a terrific breakfast in the nearby restaurant. 
Crepes close also, ice creams, souvenirs. It's a very good choice if you want to be in the center of cristobal.

Just wanted to post a quick review of our experience. First, it should be stated that we merely booked a boat charter with this hostal. The gal was extremely helpful at the desk and should be commended. I would also highly recommend doing a 360 degree Tour of Kicker Rock! The sharks were fabulous and the tour was well organized. The snorkeling stops were well planned and overall it was a fun experience. However, we really have to mention something that occurred on the boat trip. We were supposed to see boobies along the way, but no one mentioned that we would be fishing. We presumed that they fished in order to attract the birds which began to appear in numbers. Well, the birds began diving at the bait and eventually it appeared that we had caught a fish. Sadly, it turned out to be one of the birds!!! They were able to reel it in and got the hook out, but it was quite apparent that the bird was not enjoying any part of the ordeal. It was just sort of shocking to see. Everyone on the boat was really quiet and it made the experience a little depressing. The worst part was once they released the bird - the put the line back in the water to continue fishing! We were just rooting for the birds to not get stuck on the line again, which they didn't fortunately. Anyhow, I just wanted to clarify what happened and that they should discontinue the practice of fishing to attract the birds.

Very helpful service, but use a different 360 degree boat tour company!

Im just writting about the tour which i have booked in the tour agency Leon dormido in San Cristóbal and not about the hostal. 
The tour is really nice but its because of what you see but not more. Bryan our guide was great. 
And now the bad point i got an old mask from them and my attachment has been demolished just by pulling it a little bit. So it was not at all really my fault. And then they wanted 50 Dollars from me when i brought them back. I just paid 40 Dollars but that was way to much for me and in my opinion i should have paid anything. So i would definitely recommend to book the tour somewhere else.
