One of the best things we did in Ecuador! San Isidro was just beautiful. The accommodation was comfortable. I loved waking up listening to the birds and looking out across the mountains. The food is amazing! The birds and wildlife were great. We paid the extra for a guided bird tour on one day. Sandra was our guide and she was fantastic. So knowledgeable about the birds and the environment. She customized the tour for us and took us to a few places around Cosanga. We did several walks around the property with the in-house guides as well. Even though our Espanol is terrible, the guides still made a great effort to point things out to us and showed us lots of really interesting things in the forest. A dip in the pool was a lovely way to relax after a few walks too! All the staff and guides at San Isidro were friendly and really made us feel welcome.
