I tihnk this palce gives you a good value for what you pay, it is one of the cheapest options in Punta Arenas. I think it´s perfect for one night stay. 
The location is good, but you need to know the number of the house because there is no sign on the door. 
Everything was clean, there is a breakfast included (average), the rooms are spacious.

Good value

The location is a 10 minute walk to the main town. The breakfast was not too bad but could be improved. The host is lovely and tries her best. The building is quite old and in need of some care to bring it up to good. The place has a lack of bathroom/toilet facilities considering how many people could stay there.....but admittedly there was only 1 other person there when we stayed. Can be chilly on an evening. It can be hard to find so just remember what the building looks like.

Good for a 1 night stay, cheap

The owner is lovely and willing to give advice/information.  The location is good - a 10 minute (or less) walk to the main commercial streets.  The breakfast was OK. Not the worst I've had, but certainly not the best.  The guests can have breakfast together in the kitchen, which is nice.  My main issue with this accommodation is the lack of bathroom/toilet facilities.  On the first floor there are beds for at least 12 people, and there is only one bathroom.  Additionally, there is no sound-proofing at all, and I could hear every world said in the room next to mine.

A mix of good and not so good

It felt like home here. Soledad is such a nice lady and host. The breakfast that she prepares for her guests in her dining room is very nice.  As her guests eat together at the table, she has conversations with all of them... very friendly atmosphere. She also gave me a towel when I asked. Wifi works everywhere. The location is great as it is only a couple of blocks from the main street / plaza, where you can easily catch a colectivo or taxi. It's also only a few steps from the Cerro de la Cruz Mirador, where you get views of Punta Arenas, Strait of Magellan, and Tierra del Fuego, in the distance. Only downside is that there is only 1 bathroom for the entire floor and it was pretty dark; also took awhile for the water to warm up.  The stairs and floor were also creaky, and it was quite noisy when several folks were talking in the common room until 2am; very thin walls.

Felt like a home; very nice host

Location:

There is no signs of it anywhere, neither outside. The only way to find it is remembering the house number and ringing the bell hoping you are not disturbing a particular dwelling. Inside the place you'll inmediately think this is a clandestine lodging.

The House:

This place looks like it's falling apart, worn down, and old. And it is falling apart, worn down and old.

Despite the above, the place is kept clean and the bed sheets are fresh.

The owner:

Soledad seemed bothered or annoyed everytime she was asked a question, as if it was too much effort having to answer you or having to explain how local transport works.

Breakfast:

It was a combination of instant coffee or tea, and sugary industrial orange juice, to drink alongside slices of toasts with butter, jam and slices of gouda-like cheese (some mornings there'd be ham too). There was also a bowl of yougurt to mix with oats. I would rate it as plentiful but ordinary. And the quality of products was sub-standard.

Amenities:

Kitchen use was limitted in a sense that oven cooking and frying (burger, meat, fish, etc.) wasn't allowed. So your options were boiling or microwaving.

Rooms:

There was no heating upstairs, where most rooms were, and in summery February it felt cold, so I don't want to know how you would survive in winter in the twin room we got with no heating whatsoever. Beds gave a decent rest. Rooms had no key, but you could lock it from outside with a padlock.

Bathroom/toilet:

There was 1 toilet+shower for 10+ guests, so a visit to the toilet in a moment of need was often a privilege. 

The other available toilet was downstairs (by an outside staircase) and through the kitchen.

If you are looking for the cheapest option possible  in town, you might want to consider this place, but if you find a price match, it's a no brainer where you should not go to.
