33 reviewsFrom the exceptional volunteers to the gorgeous private rooms to the owner's passion for sustainability - Rio Libre is one of my favourite hostels! I have stayed there 4 times now over the last 8 months while travelling, and it has never disappointed. I love the green roof, free roaming chickens, outdoor hangout area with fire pit and hammock, locked entrance gate and recycling, amongst many other things. It is located so that you do not have to drive anywhere, and they offer tours you can book directly through them. I absolutely love this place, and usually stay in the private room with private bathroom and balcony that is better than most hotel rooms. I highly recommend Rio Libre, and the owner is incredibly helpful, friendly and a full out wonderful person! Thank you!!! I will be back :)

A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel «Hostal Rio Libre» is located in Pucon. This hotel is located minutes away from the city center.
At the hotel
Spend an evening in a nice atmosphere of the bar. Free Wi-Fi is available on the territory. Ask for more information when checking in. Ski and snowboard fans will enjoy an off-site skiing area, a ski transfer and ski facilities rental. Get ready for a fun and exciting vacation! Here’s what you will find on the premises: a karaoke, a library, a ping-pong area, a picnic area and a barbeque area.
There are playrooms for children at the hotel. They will be having so much fun that you might have to spend the evening with adults.
