The room was lovely- clean, bright, well appointed and comfortable. The bathroom was the same. 
What really let this place down was the only member of staff we encountered there. I'm guessing he is the owner. 
We arrived at 10.30am and he appeared to have been woken up by us ringing the bell. We told him we had a reservation. He pointedly looked at the clock, rolled his eyes and said 'you arrived so early'. Yes, I have but I only want to leave my bags so we can go on a temple tour! Wow! What a welcome!
Later we came back to the hotel after the temple tour and expected to go through check in- passports, settle the bill, etc but instead he just showed us to the room. Nice and easy but also a bit weird... no information about check out time, facilities or the bill. 
We returned from dinner that evening at 10.30pm and again rang the bell for his attention (no one ever seemed to be there!). We asked to buy some water (he said there was none) so I asked where the nearest shop was (he said next door but it's closed). Let me be clear that this hotel is around 50m down a rough dirt track that isn't lit. There is very little nearby. I ooh Ted this out to him that it's very strange not to have any drinking water (either for sale or free of charge for guests) available for guests and he went off to find a couple of bottles. We then asked to pay the bill and he said 'I think you can pay tomorrow'. Seeing that this guy obviously seemed to like his sleep, I did let him know that we'd be leaving by 10am the next day and he said that'd be ok. 
The next morning we went downstairs at 9.05am to get some breakfast (not included in the price but full menu advertised on the website) and pay the bill. After ringing the bell (??!!?!) we asked if we could get some breakfast and he said 'no that's not possible'! Hilarious! So we paid and left. 
I've never felt so unwelcome in my life! Especially when I'm paying to stay somewhere!
Save your money and go elsewhere. 

Room great, staff awful

Good value for money. AC, Fridge, Kettle, complementary coffee & water replaced daily, Fl.TV, WiFi was spotty at best, who ever very good in the bar area. Bathroom facilities are basic, open shower, plenty of hot water, weak water pressure and good towels replaced daily, complementary toiletries. Large spacious room, comfortable bed, medium firm mattress , clean linen,  duvet and pillow covers. There is a small desk, plus one addition chair. The hotel is well maintained, very clean. Quite location, good nights sleep. Breakfast is available on request. The staff is welcoming and helpful. I would gladly stay here again. PS: there is a safe place for your bicycle. When you spot the sign for Snow River Guesthouse don't let the Lane-way put you off, your on the right track and you will not be disappointed. 50 meters and its on your right! Say hi to Snow River, the dog.

Small guesthouse located in a quiet street about 15 minutes' walk from the night market or with a tuk tuk for $2 or a motorbike taxi for $1.

Characteristic and welcoming guest house

I spent 12 nights in this Guest House, which has become my Cambodian home. The size of the guest house, which has less than 10 rooms, allows you to feel at home...the kindness of the person who works inside it does the rest...with respect for the other customers you can calmly behave as if you were at home. In the evening you can sit down and sip a coffee on the terrace, during the day you can calmly sit in the garden and there are always bicycles with so much space available to stroll through the beautiful alleys of Siem Reap or to visit temples. The guy who works inside Guest House is the one with whom you get the most income, much more than with the owner that I have seen very few times at his house... instead of the guy who is a very simple guy like me and I can't wait for him to write... this is really a lot more expensive, of course.

My Cambodian home

Very nice, no bugs in the room, complete and functional bathroom, clean. The room is large and air-conditioned, the best service is the convention with a take away of European food at a click, via hotel wifi, where you order and get the food to your room. Comfortable especially when outside the flood and you can't get inside the city. Their trusted driver, Mr. Shreng is very polite, economical and takes you enthusiastically to discover the Angkor Wat site with his tuktuk.

It's cheap and worth it!

We felt comfortable right away, our guest house was cozy and clean. Possibility after a hard tour to have a great home restaurant service, tried and we must say great.Free bikes for breakfast with 1€.

Relaxation and kindness

Paul, the owner was extremely helpful, gave us a lot of advice. The rooms were big and nice and clean. It took us 15 minutes to walk to Old Town and pub St, so the distance is not a problem.

I've been living in Siem Reap for a few years now. The owner and his wife are wonderful people. So my goal and I decided to spend the night with them.

Super relaxed!!!!!!!!

Great room and good bed. Very friendly accommodation. A good choice for a quick and economical trip to Angkor. Avoid dining at the hotel, food is not prepared on site.

Welcome, spacious rooms, very good value for money

The benefits of this guest house are many: - the perfect location - an amazing calm for Siem Reap - a kind and helpful Cambodian host - bicycles available!! The family room was perfect, my children didn't want to leave it's very simple! Breakfast is right (with cut fruit); Add to your nights but the prices here defy all competition! The owners (a young couple, he Russian, she Cambodian) could think about how to better accompany the guests by providing more targeted advice. thank you again!
