The Terrace on 95

I can't say enough good things about this place. French colonial style with tile floors everywhere; most guests are encouraged to leave shoes/sandals at the top of the stairs in order not to tramp dirt or dust throughout, which I found to be a nice and practical touch. Our room was relatively simple but spacious, charming, very clean and comfortable. Super-friendly and helpful service. It's worth staying here alone for the chance to hang out over coffee drinks or a meal on the wonderful small terrace, surrounded by greenery and yet totally close to all the action with some good people wathcing on the street below. It's like you're "there" but somehow removed at the same time. And it doesn't hurt that the onsite restaurant has excellent coffee, and tons of vegan options. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
