When you look at the pictures on the Internet, you look forward to the Cinema Boutique Hotel Ganja. You can already see how much pictures can deceive when you enter. Unfriendly reception, disinterested staff (2 heavy bags are dragged upstairs to the first floor by the guest) and also leaving the room to desired. Dirty fittings in the bathroom, missing shower towels, muffled refrigerator. In short, you wonder where the 5 ⭐ come from.

I actually have the place in Ganja, but for certain reasons we had to spend the night somewhere else. So we chose that hotel which was not so welcoming especially to my spouse, as the staff was asking unethic questions regarding the relationship with me and asking for marriage certificate. So pity this kind of cases still remains to be a shame in the hospitality of Azerbaijan.

Not so welcoming

When we checked in, we found out that the payment was only in cash - we had to remove the mantas from the nearest ATM, well it's nearby. The keys to our room were searched for 5 minutes all over the hotel, eventually they gave us another room with beautiful round windows facing the pedestrian street and cracks in the very windows. Not finding the towels in the room and assuming the look of the bathroom that it was not cleaned, they asked us to remove the bathroom.

Direct service

This small hotel is located very close to the city center. 5 minute walk to Heydar Aliyev avenue, which is the central avenue. Breakfast is served at Kalorit cafe (included in the hotel price). Breakfast is fine (butter, cheese, eggs, etc.)  The hotel staff are quite helpful. When I requested water, extra towel, hairdryer, they immediately brought it. The room was also quite warm and there was no problem with hot water.

Great location and friendly staff

The first room they gave us was without wifi, so we changed it. In the room the 1.8m bed had two 90cm saunas and a 90cm Nordic one too. The hotel is renovated but no maintenance is noticeable. The mattress is dirty, the saunas are old, the towels are worn and the roads, the shower is losing water on the floor. The water is almost cold. The air conditioner was not working. No dryer, no albornoz, no safety box. No sofas or shoes. The Tamayuno is a fried egg, butter, mermaid water, cheese and tomatoes. There is no teapot. There is no teapot. There is no teapot in a small dose.

So that there is no return.

The hotel was completely renovated, very central. The staff was very friendly. Parking at the door. They gave us a room that the wifi didn't reach and We changed it, our surprise was when we opened the bed, it was made with two small sheets and a 90-inch Nordic for the 1.80-inch bed. In the bathroom the shower was coming out from all sides and the water was cold. The air conditioning was not working and the gel was too liquid. Nor did it have a dryer even though I put it in the reservation. The breakfast was good, in the coffee shop underneath the hotel, egg, bread, cheese, mortar, tomatoes, pepper, butter and mermaid, with you. yes you can't choose. That conclusion, you can't dry it for a night.

Reformed but poorly maintained.

We stayed in a double room for 2 nights (70 manat per night, including breakfast). The room was totally normal, nothing "boutique" special. Not clean and 3 💡 didn't work. The water is not hot, just warm. There was a awful smell outside of our room. Staff was nice and spoke a bit English. The breakfast is ok. The hotel has a ideal location in the city centre. 

Not so clean but friendly and central 

I stayed at this hotel for one night. The most important reason was this hotel is the only hotel in Ganja which allows pets in. Although it ended up being an unsatisfying experience. 
Right in front of the hotel there is an area in which at nights street dogs gather and bark. My puppy always reacted to this. Let alone lots of noises from the corridor. I almost didn't sleep at all that night. 
But the room was almost clean and very warm which was good at that time of the year. Nice shower. And great location. The breakfast was so so.
