Excellent
125 reviewsAround the time of New Year, it was a nice stay at this place with like a quaint setting on the 1st floor but all modern and actually kind of "newer-looking" on the 2nd floor (with also good-sized lockers & bathrooms easy to move around inside), and the breakfast was with a fair variety (but not a buffet and served by the staff). Above all though, it's two things which in my opinion are the best about this place: firstly, the front-desk service which I would call a "tourist-oriented" one (with ready printouts of a list of sites in the city & how to get to them, and thanks especially to Erica); and secondly, the location in the "touristy neighborhood" of El Poblado but not a noisy or crowded one and actually a "pretty quiet" area (except for one street lined with restaurants on both sides at about a 5-minute walk from this place, but my suggestion being to skip that street with "fairly high" food prices and instead to go further down to Calle 10 with pretty reasonable prices at cafes & such along that street). And as for the city sightseeing while at this place, quite convenient (if you don't mind a bit of walking) is Poblado metro station at about a half-hour walk away (to the right after coming out of here followed by a short walk down to Calle 10 then a left turn and just all the way along that big street until getting to the station on the left side) from which it's just about a 10-minute ride to Parque Berrio Station (for sites such as Plaza Botero with great bronze sculptures & the "all-brick-built" Catedral Basilica Metropolitana with also nearby statue of Simon Bolivar) and a longer 20-minute-or-so ride to Acevedo Station (to switch to Metrocable for another half-hour-or-so ride to Parque Arvi which I would describe as an "enchanting one" due to its location at a "pretty high altitude" after going over both the city & the adjacent big forest). And also, reachable just by walking from this place is the "pretty grand" Museo El Castillo with beautiful rooms inside & its "garden-like" front grounds quite pleasant to walk around (to the left after coming out of this place and about a half-hour "straight walk" by just following the same street until about the end of it, then a left turn to the gate of the Castle).
