My boyfriend and I went on the Javari River Amazon tour and it was the best experience ever. It was just us two, a very friendly volunteer translator (Fer) (as we spoke very little Spanish), the tour guide (Jumbo) and the captain of the boat (Roger). It was essentially a private tour for a great price especially compared to other tours. It was a 3 day tour, we spent one night camping in the Amazon which was incredible and one night in a stilt house by the river. They provided all the food which was all delicious, and bought fresh fruit from the market in Peru. Jumbo is a fantastic tour guide and so kind hearted. His knowledge of the jungle and the animals is unbelievable and completely puts you at ease when you’re surrounded by the rainforest. He also has a remedy for anything! I was bitten by quite a few mosquitoes but he went the extra mile by giving me cream to help heal the bites. There’s so much I could write about this amazing tour, I loved every second of it. I highly, highly recommend Jaganda tours with Jumbo.
