I found the place extremely calm and clean. It looks and smells like new. The room was comfortable and it had everything we needed. People were very kind and welcoming. It`s probably one of the few places in Rio where you can have a real contact with nature and wild life without sacrificing the proximity with the city life, since its nestled in the hart of a fairly calm and preserved island in Barra, a neighborhood with plenty of things to do, including beach, malls and lots of good restaurants. They offer boat service, which takes less than 3 minutes to cross the little channel. As soon as you leave the island there are options of taking a cab, bus or subway. Unfortunately, the later was not ready yet by the time I visited (june 2015) which is very far from being an issue, since I didn`t have any issues with transportation, it will be ready soon, though. I loved the place and I have absolutely no complains about it. Really recommended!
