Hotel Berghof

We had been recommended the Hotel Berghof by some friends - and were not disappointed. The hotel is located up on the mountain, right next to the ski-lift, but remember to put on snow-chains on your car, as it will be difficult to get up there without - at least in the snow-season. All rooms have a wonderful view of either the mountain or the valley with the town of Wagrain, lights from the town and all the hotels on the mountains around Wagrain. Rooms are spacious, we had 2 double rooms for 4 people and our rooms had also a couch, table and chairs so we had plenty of room and space. We brought our dog, which was no problem at all. The restaurant served breakfast buffet every day - plenty to choose from so both kids and adults enjoyed it very much. Dinner was usually a 3 or 4 course meal, starting with a saladbuffet and/or soup, then the main course (you could choose between 2 main courses and the menu was presented at breakfast so you could decide then) and then dessert. The staff were just wonderful - very friendly and helpful with all our needs. We warmly recommend Hotel Berghof and will definetely come back to stay there on our next trip to Wagrain. Frau Silbergasser and her staff really made our Christmas vacation perfect.
