Fantastic
355 reviewsWhat a wonderful stay! I’m someone who finds it very hard to switch off and just “be” so to speak - I had zero choice here and had to relax - not a bad thing! Wellness villa - what is not to like - private pool, outdoor bath and shower - bliss! Food - wow!! It’s a small resort, but never had an issue (and I’m a fussy eater!) - food is the same regardless of which restaurant you are in - one is outdoors and one is indoors with air con - only one morning we had to eat outdoors as we left it later to come down and it was busy - in the evening, at most maybe 2 or 3 others couples/families in the air conditioned restaurant The resort - absolutely spotless!! What a credit to the team! The service - phenomenal - always greeted with a smile and a special shout out to those in the restaurants :) So what could have gone better - AKA the niggly bits? Pineapple meringue desert - out of stock the entire visit (1 week!) the one dessert I really wanted to try! Dodgy electrics - this was sorted very quickly after reporting on Melia App, but led to a couple of nights disturbed sleep Check in - we were not told how to book our daily spa treatments - we didn’t chase it up as it came with the room and we weren’t overly bothered - for future maybe have this information as part of a welcome pack for the wellness villa rooms? Remoteness - there is a bus which runs to Phuket town (if there is enough interest), and you can hire bicycles for free for 2 hours. I’m shocked that Turtle village (approx 4km away by car) was not mentioned at all? I wondered was this possible to access via a walk up the beach? I also tried to find the local supermarket (I drink a lot of fizzy - if All Inclusive or a drinks package was on offer, we would have added this to our stay!) - my search was unsuccessful. Ended up downloading and using Grab - meeting the rider at the front of the hotel in the car park The villa doorbell - it works, but if you keep the patio doors shut to keep the mozzies out, you will not hear it lying by the pool! And finally - the mozzies….. enough said! The pink bottles they give out is fantastic for keeping them at bay, as is the citronella curls which are replaced daily but if you’re like me, you probably will still get bitten Thank you for a wonderful stay :) we will be back :)
