I stayed in the hotel for 1 week. I was very impressed with the quality of the hotel. The hotel is located in a very good area to begin the exploration of Madrid, right in Plaza Espana. From the hotel, it is an easy walk to the Royal Palace and other local attractions. If choose not to walk, the metro and bus stops are on the same street, and stop in key areas, like Puerta del Sol and Prado Museum. There are a lot of places to eat nearby. It is a busy area of the city, so you will hear lots of siren and people enjoying themselves until the wee hours of the night, but most is muffled with the windows closed. I got the package with breakfast, and it was one of the best buffet breakfasts I have ever enjoyed. The choices were abundant. Lastly, I booked directly with hotel website and found the value was better than booking third party companies. One opportunity for improvement is that the rooms had one outlet at the bedside and thus unable to connect more than one item. I asked at the desk for a multiplug extension and was told to go to a nearby store to buy one, and no effort was made to supply one.
