What a great location this eye catching hotel is in. You can walk to so much from the doorstep or catch a free bus to the popular area for visitors that includes the Prado. And staying at the Riu Plaza Espana itself was great too. We had a lovely bright room on a corner of the building with excellent views over to the Royal Palace. Spotlessly clean, plenty of hangers in the wardrobe, a fridge and a very comfortable bed. Access to the rooftop bar on floor 27 was fun; the outdoor pool and sun beds on floor 24 provided a welcome place to relax; the buffet breakfast surely offers something for everyone and the 6 computerised lifts are an experience in themselves! We loved Madrid and would recommend the Riu hotel. Oh and the staff were super friendly too.
