BelleVue Aquarius Aparthotel

Don't let the bad ones put you off! Good points: Fab location, it's right near the old town just a few minutes walk to all the bars and nightlife, only 10 minutes to playa chica beach. Food was basic but we had some lovely meal. Breakfast was always good, eggs cooked to perfection. Lunch was good, nice variety of salads, fish and meats, not amazing for vegetarians but overall good. We did go out for dinner a few nights as the evening meal was very similar to lunch time. Entertainment was brilliant! Jonathan was so good at getting people involved in activities and up on the dance floor. They had really good singers the couple nights we stayed at the hotel for the entertainment. Pool is lovely, it's a salt water pool but it could do with a little TLC. Apartment was clean, nice size but maybe could do with a little bit of updating. Stunning views of the sea from our balcony, we could see the harbour on floor 3. Staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them, but we didn't know there were rules about certain things and the manager kept coming to tell us off and was a bit of a jobsworth. It was nearly every day and could've spoiled our holiday, if we'd have let it. But the other bar/restaurant staff more than made up for him. A few things to bear in mind: Sunbeds are locked until the lifeguard gets there at 10 am and he leaves at 6pm. There are no lifts, quite a few stairs to the apartments so bear in mind if you have invisible disabilities that affect you being able to climb stairs well. Overall a fabulous holiday in a great location, we will definitely be going back.
