The Savoy

We stayed for a night for my birthday with my family. We arrived early and after checking in the staff very kindly showed us to the waiting room where they served us complimentary drinks,biscuits etc which was very kind and unexpected,thank you Teng and Hannah.. Our rooms were upgraded to the river side view king rooms,again very kind and unexpected. Although i was annoyed my kids got a fluffy cat and i didn't! 😄 We ate at Ramseys riverside restaurant,which was again,very nice and they surprised me with a little birthday cake. After a walk down to Westminster we hesded to the American bar. What a wonderful evening we had listening to the pianist.. especially my daughter sampling her first ever cocktails! Next morning a full English breakfast was delivered to our room,it was worth every single penny,there was so much to eat. The butler found out i had a sore throat and went out his way to deliver hot water,lemon and honey to soothe my throat,again complimentary without me requesting it which was a lovely touch and very thoughtful. On the day of leaving there was a road race,the doorman very kindly requested they remove the barriers so we could take our children home..not that i wanted to leave!! The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Every single member of staff we encountered were absolutely first class and bent over backwards to attend our needs. I cannot write down every little detail i would be here all day,if you are thinking of staying but unsure i can assure you it’s a must do! We cannot thank the hard working staff enough and we shall return for two nights next year for my daughter’s birthday. Thanks for the special memories, The Downes family.
