Hotel Berchielli

We stayed four nights (28 Apr to 2 May). The Berchielli is an old hotel but in very fine form. We had the basic room which was more than adequate for our needs; the bathroom was elegant and functional, the bedroom a reasonable size with good double glazing, air con and super mattress (wonderful nights sleep). The view was not of the river (obviously) but pleasing to the eye and interesting in its own way. The reception staff were delightful as were breakfast team and house keeping. Breakfast was very well laid out and we were impressed with the quality of produce available - an enjoyable start to every day. Check-out was fast and efficient from very impressive reception staff. To me, a hotel room is as a bed for the night and I am content to stay wherever. Strangely, I felt quite emotional saying goodbye at reception; it had been a real pleasure to have stayed there we were so well received and looked after from start to finish - a wonderful hotel experience . . . . . .
