This’s is the nice and clean place to go for. Friendly stuff and caring. However, electricity backup should be improved as it is does not kick off immediately. Air conditioners must be installed or ceiling fan.

The overall trip was good thanks to the help of the friendly staff . The guest house is modern, clean and comfortable, it met all our requirements. The location of guest house is central and easy to access

Comfortable, convenient and friendly staff

The staff were very accommdating and willing to make our stay comfortable and the facility was in reasonable condition.
I would recommend the installation of a bell at the front gate. I returned from a meeting in early hours one morning and had difficulty in accessing the facility through the gate.
Consideration should be given to the installation of a curtain around the bath, which would improve the shower experience.

Zovuyo Lodge - Room 3

I've made great use of their accommodation facilities in the past during my travels. 
Quite impressive interior. Rooms are beautiful, dstv channels available on their plasma screen TVs. Clean neat standard rooms with fridge per room. Each room is fitted with a modern bath tub and shower.

Parking space is unlimited and safe. Accommodation rates are very reasonable. Despite this guesthouse being in a village set-up along the N2, it has a much more urban feel to it, given its modernised facilities and touches. It is actually of much greater standard than its urban area counterparts. Stunning, really.

Urban vs rural

There was no electricity. They knew we were coming. No lights, no coffee no wifi. They did not care about us. Nobody tried to help us. All night there was a generator running next to our room. We hardly had any sleep. The moment we got in the car and wanted to leave someone ran after us to ask if we wanted breakfast. No. We left in a hurry.

Worst stay in 50 years

The location of this place is right on the main road and is also situated right next-door to what I can only describe as a bit of a shanty town - so it's very noisy and a bit unnerving. As they don't do evening meals, I asked the staff about possible options for dinner, to which I was given little advise and Butterworth wasn't somewhere I particularly wanted to venture at night, so we decided to skip dinner and just settle in the for the night.
The room itself was very small, there was no door to the bathroom and a simple pull-across-divider which offered little extra privacy. Our main door didn't close unless locked and even then seemed a bit questionable. Throughout the night all I could hear was a lot of noise from outside, and shouting and arguing in the hallways from what I presume were staff as I didn't see any other guests. At one in the night I was woken up by someone trying to open our door, and as I was about to turn on the lights they stopped and ran off - it didn't leave me with much confidence and I barely slept the rest of the night. We got up extra morning, ate our disappointing and sparse breakfast and left as soon as we were able.
Definitely won't be venturing back and would sooner recommend anybody to drive for the extra hours in the dark instead of check in here. A very negative review, I'm afraid to say, but an honest one.
