Stayed at Apartment Zdovc after booking last minute flights to Trieste, looking for late easter skiing. The communication were excellent beforehand and on arrival we found out we were the only people staying in the apartments.  The hot tub, sauna and function rooms were out of commission but everything else was perfect. Comfy bed, plenty of crockery, really warm spacey apartments.  Key was left in the mailbox and didn't see anyone for 24 hours, very trusting but very helpful.  Got good discount on ski hire and lesson, which were left at Vogel overnight so no struggling with ski boot. Definitely recommend

We were looking to get a bit farther into the mountains when visiting the Julian Alps region but did not want to stay in a tourist area like Bled. Ribcev Laz was the perfect choice! Apartment Zdovc was actually the cheapest accommodations we had during our 3 week trip but also the largest. The rooms are clean, spacious, the bathroom was great and the kitchenette was a nice bonus. We are family of three so really appreciated the extra space. The Location is perfect to town. We really enjoyed walking around the lake and taking the gondola to the top of Vogel. The house is a bit short on parking spaces and we found the beds a bit uncomfortable hence the 4 star rating. A side benefit of staying farther into the mountains were the starry skies at night!
Stay here if you want to get away to a quiet, beautiful place for  a while!

The accommodations are clean, comfortable and pleasant. The location is great, quiet and yet near everything. The fabulous part of our stay here was the staff at Alpin Sport! We were there to climb Mt. Triglav and they absolutely made it possible. Their generous advice and help were perfect and they were totally delightful. We were so lucky that we somehow had made a reservation there. We loved the people and Slovenia in general.

We recommend this apartment for its good value at a great location.

The apartment is actually part of a nice house comprising 8 apartments. It is located at the south-eastern part of the small village of Ribcev Laz, 300m from the beautiful Bohinj lake. The house has convenient parking places for the guests; however the parking space is quite dark at night.
Each apartment has its own bedroom + living room / kitchen with dining table. a short hallway leads to the bathroom/toilet.
The kitchen contains an oven with an electric 4-unit stove above it, some cupboards and shelves, and a small fridge with a tiny open-shelf freezer. There are cooking and eating utensils in reasonable state, but not too many - so don't plan on entertaining... Also, there were no supplies in the apartment - no sugar, no coffee, no tea, no black pepper for seasoning, and no soap for the hands or dishes. Better bring your own supplies in advance - although you can get everything at the small local Mercator supermarket in the tiny village center 200m away.
The living room is a little cramped, with little space between the sofa, the dining table and the kitchen - but you can get by as a couple, probably even with a small kid or two (we were a couple + baby). The apartment is 32 sqm according to their website.
The apartment has several windows plus a glass door opening to a utilitarian terrace outside. The hinges are not in perfect shape, but manageable with a little force. There are external shutters on all windows, but if you want to get some light inside you must keep these open, and unfortunately the internal curtains are very narrow and hardly cover half the window... So forget about privacy or stepping nude out of the bathroom.
We asked for a baby cot and got a nice foldable one, with nice baby linen and blanket - more than we hoped for.
Our own bed wasn't something to write home about, but it was okay and didn't give us any back pain. Same goes for the blankets - basic but fine (and there are spare blankets in the closet).
We did have a few small problems in the apartment when we got there, but these were fixed shortly after we told the management (located at the Alpin Sport agency 300m away). The only problem which persisted was that the living room was not lit well enough, and at night or on cloudy days it was a little dark - which is okay for the bedroom but not so nice for a place to hang out and to cook and eat your meals. When we complained the problem was only partially remedied - an burnt-out bulb was replaced, but still not enough light in the room.

All in all it was not a big place or a perfect one, but for the price it is hard to beat. We paid 36 euro/day (not including a few extra euro/day local tax), which was very good value for what was overall a nice place to stay at a great location. Recommended.

This apartment is a very efficient in all ways, well equipped, it has nice rooms and view. You have to collect your keys from the nearby "Alpin Sports" office, there is no onsite personel. We had a great stay here.
