Great place for short stay. Restaurant with local cusine and Museum are also located in the castle! Room was clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable. Higly recommended for business and personaln stay.

First of all, I would say that the room was excellent - nice size, comfortable, clean and good sized bathroom. It's modern so don't expect a castle ambience inside. The price was also reasonable. I would happily stay again. However, breakfast, while pleasant, was a bit limited for a hotel of this size - not the fault of the girl on duty who was constantly refilling the dishes as fast as she was able. Also the check in and check out could be better. Check in was via the restaurant. Check out - no-one on duty, restaurant still closed so gave the key to a member of staff we happened to see outside. Customers shouldn't really be searching for someone to leave the key with (I guess we could have just left it on the empty desk)

Well this is an old castle but actually, the whole castle was destroyed by the Germans so what stands today is a reconstruction...but it's still pretty cool! The tour guy was great! He spoke English well, so my sister and I got to learn some interesting Polish history. There was really no one there (maybe because it was during the weekday...) so you don't have to worry about it being packed.

Took me back in time...

Nice restaurant which closes at 8pm, just like the bar. Far too early if you were unable to eat your dinner before arriving at Tykocin.
Rooms freezing cold and so are the bathrooms that will discourage you from even brushing your teeth.
Uninspiring and very miserly breakfast.
Poor service: we still have not got our invoice (it's 6 days since our stay). Seemingly the hotel office cannot handle e-mail.
