This was a wonderful typically Japanese hotel. Its a ryokan style hotel - a modern building but run very traditionally - a great onsen on the top floors, a very good restaurant for evening meals, and really helpful staff (especially the lady on the desk, saturday morning). The room was the best we've had so far - tastefully decorated, with tatami mating and low mattresses, but loads of storage space, shelves, wardrobe - way more practical than most of the other more modern hotels and Airbnbs we have been in. Close to two stations on the JR Sanamo line which give access to the subways. If the Japanese style breakfast isnt to your liking - I struggle with them - there is a Starbucks a few minutes away
