Witwater Safari Lodge & SPA

Second visit and we stayed in the luxury suite which is amazing with a big comfy bed, spa bath and shower. The food was incredible as usual and the staff are the best, we will definitely be back again because we love it there

Second visit to Witwater and service and accommodation was way above other lodges we've recently visited. Brilliant staff , clean  accommodation  and lots of animals. Thank you very much and you will definately  see us again !!

We stayed as a family of 4 adults in the self catering lodge. Accommodation was way above the rest of lodges we have recently visited. Spacious, clean and just superb. The lodge has its own swimming pool, braai area, complimentary 2 bags of wood daily and the staff made our fire at night... all we had to do was to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Situated close to the river, mountain and wild life, I really cannot fault anything. The wild drive was great and our guide well informed on the wild life, animal behavior etc and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with us. Cellphone and Wi-Fi reception is poor, except at the main building, however, this was exactly what we needed to get away from the daily hustle as it afforded us an opportunity to relax and reload.

They have a lovely Restaurant and Bar and the breakfast they serve will remain as a positive memory long after you have left - make sure to go for breakfast!

The staff is really a joy, very professional, helpful and friendly -  they work as a collective and just add to the 5-Star rating.

The road to the lodge is a dirt road (spent approx 45min drive-time on the dirt road) and best suited for suv's or vehicles with a high ground clearance. All in all, this is a gem and more than worth the visit!

We treated friend to a night at Leopard Lodge. We also visited the spa for treatments. The view was awesome and even blessed with rain while there. We had 3 kids in the party, so with the lodge open, I was afraid of snakes. TV was not working.

Had a great stay. This is perfect if you want to be in a secluded location without cell signal, etc. There was WiFi, but it was very unreliable - makes checking things up at home very difficult. It will not be possible to work remotely.

However, I have never experienced the amount of hospitality from staff anywhere I have been. Friendly, kind, caring and willing to bend over backwards for whatever you need. I cannot overemphasize this.

I will go back, definitely.

The food was very good, the staff was very nice. We saw heaps of animals etc. Only the Indian Head Massage was a big disappointment. 1/5. I had a two hour treatment but it could have been better. Sorry. The Spa is beautiful but I think she must stop if a client complains. The rooms were also clean and comfortable.
