The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was courteous and amazing. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone spending a night or more in the Morant Bay area. The service was exceptional as well; meals are made to order but must be submitted in advance. I had a wonderful experience at the Whispering Bamboo Cove Resort, this is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in the St.Thomas vicinities. Weekend Getaway

I’m well overdue in posting this review, we stayed here in June 2017 and it was gorgeous, we hired the restaurant area and chef for a family “Touch of white” dinner and the service was impeccable situated right by the beach and breakfast every day was amazing, if you’re heading to the Morant Bay Area this is definitely the place to stay, highly recommended. 

Great stay

6 of us spent 2 nights here staff were very welcoming however the owner did not get her name but this woman was beyond rude, firstly she blocked the drive way, when ask to move so we could drive in came out no apologies but ask why we couldn't drive round ( we did try) then proceeded to lecture my 74 year mum and 90 year old aunty on why they should not use mosquito spray, bearing in mind this was not used in the hotel but outside. Staff deserve 5* for having to deal with this woman.

I really want to give 5* but

I recently return from Jamaica after staying at Whispering Bamboo for 10 days. The place itself was quaint, and clean  but not equipped to deal with large groups. The staff was very flustered when time for breakfast. The service needs improvement (food/WaitStaff). The pool was not available for use(out or order), which was a disappointment. The hotel is pictured as overlooking the beach which it was but you can not go on the beach. The beach was filled with rocks!!!! Front end staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Quaint, cozy with some confussion

After a long flight to fetch my dad who was in holiday in Jamaica and was taken ill, we arrived at night, emailed in advance to say what time we were arriving, the night porter knew nothing of our booking and after some phone calls showed us to a room.... 
basic isn’t the word, no fridge, no tea/coffee making facilities, 3 beds and a bathroom.
No hot water from shower any time over the 8 days we stayed there, tv had a picture but the sound was so bad, we didn’t bother putting it on apart from when the footy was on...
The air con was good.
They had a food menu but no prices listed so you didn’t know until you came to pay how much the bill would be, on one occasion the receptionist tried to tell me the porridge we ordered wasn’t included in the price and that we would have to pay extra, I told her that the previous 2 days breakfast it was included, so why now? she didn’t answer but her attitude and the other receptionist left a lot to be desired.
Evening meals had to be ordered by 12 which was ok in its self but the 2nd night we were there the receptionist told us we could only have a chicken meal as they were catering for a function, we accepted this, but she tried again the 3rd night and I told her if a menu is provided then as a paying guest (£560 for 3 for 8 days, a fortune in JMD ) then I don’t expect the function taking place should take priority, she eventually agreed that we could order what we like, off the very limited menu. The hotel doesn’t sell any kind of snack or have a vending machine, it only sells water, squash or beer.
We could not use the pool as it was a vile green in colour from algae, the garden area whilst maintained has little to offer in shade from the 91f heat, and only provides 3 very used uncomfortable plastic chairs. Although you can hear and see the sea which is beautiful you cannot access the beach and if you could its full of large stones. The place on the whole is very tired, needs updating and needs to be transparent in its pricing of menus, it seems to be set up for locals rather than international travellers, The area surrounding the hotel has nothing to offer either and felt dangerous to us. 
Good points are that the food is freshly cooked 
The waiting staff one in particular was lovely as were the domestics.
Room cleaning each day and clean towels everyday.
I would have pointed out all these issues with the manager but after seeing her speak to some of her staff I felt it better not to as I was already stressed after coming from England to bring my dad back home after he fell ill. All in all I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!!

Not a hotel more like a B&B with out the breakfast!!

This is where my brother Peter and I stayed on our third night. Very quiet residential area right on the ocean. Extremely friendly staff who went way out of their way for us. Thanks for going out to get some Red Stripes for us. Beautiful clean room with the perfect balcony and view. Breakfast and fresh fruits and coffee were waiting for us with the warmest smile. Highly recommend this stop if you’re in the south east of the island.
