I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel during Eastern weekend. The hotel is a few kilometers outside Bad Sachsa in the middle of the forest. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The hotel room was large and nice. (the room was more classic oriented, so not really modern). Beds comfortable. I had dinner one evening, which was very good. (although the portions are a bit large :-). You have to order dinner a few hours in advance. Breakfast was also very nice with cheese, cold meat, eggs, salmon, yoghurt and so on. Is there nothing which cannot be improved. Certain yes.....the WIFI signal was very weak and there were some issues with my bankcard(s) upon check-out. None of my bankcard (Maestro, AMEX, Mastercard) was accepted. (they will check however with their provider what was the cause)., so I had to pay cash. It seems many guest are regulars. Choose this hotel if you would like to be in a very friendly atmosphere in the middle of the forest. Not really recommended if you do not have a car.
