I have now been several times to Ma’Rasai and have never been disappointed. Hasrun, the host is always very welcoming and can help organise anything required to optimise your stay in Ternate. In our case this involved a fun circumnavigation of the island plus an excellent snorkel. Rooms are spacious with views over Tidore Volcano and islands from the balcony, whilst the ternate volcano can be seen from the corridor. Rooms on the top floor have the best views Meals are ordered in advance from a limited but tasty local set menu Whilst Ma’Rasai is 25 /30 minutes along the coast from downtown Ternate, this is a small price to pay given the alternative of a soulless business hotel.
