I and my family were in Festa Chamkoria for three days. A wonderful and cosy hotel.We stayed impressed and satisfied. Everything was well organised and well prepared. The room was tidy and warm. The food was good and delicious. The staff  and the waiters were very polite, smiling and helpful. And most of all I would like to thank the receptionist Kristina, always smiling, very kind and ready to help.

Loverly and Clean hotel , rooms a good size , staff are friendly and very helpful what is rare for Borovets ! . Food. 1st class  pool, spa sauna can not fault at all . Yes it’s a bit out of town but to be honest think that’s better . Bar prices are very cheap here and loverly friendly guy behind bar . 
Only thing I would say is maybe do a 8am shuttle bus for early skiers 

After a satisfying day on the slopes retreat to a FESTA CHAMKORIA hotel and relax. Superb and friendly staff, especially Nadia Petrova, look after every need and the hotel has a pool, saunas and massages were on offer too.  A fantastic kids zone with pool tables, ice hockey and football games, pinball and more. Relax in the lobby, be served ice-cold beer and cocktails by a bubbly bartender Georgy Aigurov. Awake to stunning mountain views before setting off to the slopes again aboard the hotel's free shuttle bus.

Very good value. Very good service from staff. Quiet, family friendly place. Tidy and simple room. The heating in the room was amazing. Finally, their food was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only problem is Wifi which is unstable and slow.

Spent last week of January 2020 at Festa chamkoria and had another wonderful stay. 
The swimming pool is warmer then before and also they added a microwave in the kitchen area so are clearly reading the feedback.
I stayed this time in room 511 as I was travelling alone which was small but cozy. The water was hot, the room was spotless, minibar extremely cheap, and the heating was not as stiflingly hot as before.
The saunas and steam room were great after a hard day on the slopes, the food was delicious plenty of choices and the soups especially were incredible.
All the staff were polite and again I can't find any faults or problems with the hotel. I love the fact it's surronded by trees and the higher the room the better the view.
I've stayed in rooms 511, 311 (both singles) and 711 (penthouse) which is spacious surrounded by windows and balcony.
Flat screen modern but have no idea about stations as when I'm on holiday I don't sit in the room watching TV and also coffee machine in room with capsules added for very small price (2lev).
Also complimentary dressing gown for use at pool included.
See you all again next year and perhaps again sooner


I think for the price we paid this hotel is absolutely fantastic. We stayed for 7 nights on HB basis. We had a room on the 6th floor with fantastic views of the mountains. The hotel is exceptionally warm. Food very good! There was always pasta and sauce and chips for the fussy eaters but everyday very tender meats and fresh salads. At breakfast time fresh pancakes. The pool was exceptionally clean with the lifeguard mopping the water from around the pool every few minutes! Our room was exceptionally clean too with comfy pillows, bathrobes, slippers, minibar... The staff speak adequate English which I'm grateful for as I don't speak Bulgarian despite visiting their country. The hotel is a pleasant 30mins walk into town if not using the shuttle bus. From the hotel turn left. past the fountain then turn right past Hotel Sokol. At the crossroads go straight ahead (or right then left to go past the wooden church). The staff were very helpful arranging taxis, offering information etc. Love this hotel. This was our first time to Bulgaria/ Borovets. This was also our first time skiing. We had private family lessons with George at Alpin Ski & Snowboard- definitely recommend. (separate review). Our accommodation and skiing has made this into one of the best holidays. We really hope to return next year. thank you to all the staff. x

Nice hotel, friendly staff, good food. Clean and tidy room. Big swimming pool. Very quiet place for rest. Have a free parking. We will be back again.

I was there in March 2019 for my second visit and thought it was time I gave a review.
I requested a balcony and a higher floor and upon arrival we were given the penthouse suite on the top floor. The views from the balcony were incredible, we could see the mountains through the trees from the windows, the room was spacious, modern with a large tiled en-suite 5/5.
The cleaners, cooks, waiters and staff were welcoming and friendly especially one lady whom at dinner times ensured we had a large table for the five of us. We went half board and I found the food plentiful, various and filling. Eggs, porridge, pancakes and coffee for breakfast and then soup, meat, vegetables and roast potatoes for dinner...Load up on protein after a long days skiing. The spa area was tranquil, the pool just the right temperature to relax your muscles and saunas and steam rooms were clean and worked perfectly.
The lobby and bar area was a nice place to chill out and have a drink at the fire or watch the football on TV which they helpfully changed just to suit us.  This hotel in my opinion does not deserve the negative comments, one English couple went barmy because there was no chips one day.
Me and her paid just 300 euro between us for 7 days half board, incredible value and located couple of kms from the craziness of the town which you can walk at a leisurely pace in 30 minutes anyways or pay 5 euro in a taxi if you miss or choose not to take the free shuttle bus

Vary nice place. I am with my familly and evrethind is vary nice . Have a swimming pool, litle but warm and clean. My room is a big and have everithing to fill ok. The restorant is nice too . Vary nace mountine.


We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Festa Chamkoria Hotel. The staff were helpful throughout and our room was first class. Although it is located  a couple of kilometres out of Borovets we used the courtesy bus most days or walked back to the hotel after our day skiing...very pleasant in deed. We are both vegetarian and although the options were somewhat limited there was always plenty of food available. Being located were it is the cost of our week was a lot cheaper than being right in the centre of town. Excellent value for money!
We both agreed that overall it was well worth the short ride in the courtesy bus; hire and leave your ski equipment at Hunters Ski School too.

Tranquility, warm and friendly with beautiful views

Great value for money!

We spent a week here in March 2019, the hotel is clean and warm, very warm in fact, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Some can’t speak a lot of English, and that would be my only criticism. The spa is free, all bar massages, and unless it’s a school holiday, as it partly was when we went, it is very relaxing. The food was superb, with good variety, and the drinks prices at the bar are cheaper than Wetherspoons, and better quality !  
The hotel puts on a shuttle bus to take you into the town, Going times are – 08:30 , 09:30 , 10:30 & 11:30 , and coming back are – 12:00 , 15:45 , 16:30 & 17:00. These times are perfect for getting to your ski school, and for coming back after your 4 – 5 hours skiing. If you need a taxi back after some Apres Ski , it is about 10 lev before midnight, and 15 lev after. The distance is very walkable at 2.2 Km, or 1.4 miles. Something reflective, or a little flash light would be a good idea, there are lights in places, but it’s quite dark.
All in all, we had an excellent time, and would definitely stay there again.
