Vakis Apartments

We had a great time. The pool is right next to the appartments, clean and well maintained. All appartments have two terraces on opposite sides, so that you can always sit in a shade. The rooms,  kitchen and ammenities are all as advertised. The family taking care of the place is super helpful and sweet. The parking places are shaded as well, and there is lots of green so even though we came in time of extreme heat, it was bearable. The sea is close, walkable distance but we used to go by car. Very pleasant experience.

I stayed in Vakis apartments two weeks in August 2020,with my family and friends. It's a great place to stay, the rooms are very nice and very cleans. The proprietary Vakis and his wife are very lovely persons.

Wonderful rooms, nice atmosphere, polite service, near the beach and a superb vacation. Zacharo is a wonderful holiday destination that everyone should come to see and Vakis is a pleasant place to enjoy.

We stayed for four nights whilst touring the west coast of the Peloponnese, The apartment was a great place to come back to, it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. As we were touring we did not want to take all our luggage into every accommodation so it was great that the apartments had to be entered through an electronic gate and our belongings were safe overnight.
The apartment had a big balcony overlooking the immaculate pools where we enjoyed our breakfast. 
We slept very well in the peaceful surroundings enjoying the air conditioning which worked very well. A must for us the WI Fi  had good connection so we could keep in touch with the family. The owners were lovely and if we visit the west coast again we will certainly return.

Stayed with family for two weeks. The apartments are very nice & spacious. We stayed on the first floor in a one bedroom apartment with our three young kids we had a large balcony overlooking the pool. 
The apartments are run by a very nice couple who are there every day and obviously take pride and keep the place immaculate.
The rooms are cleaned every day and clean bedding and towels provided which are very good quality. The beds were also comfortable. The rooms have air conditioning and basic facilities for self catering.
The pool is fantastic for the kids and the beach is a short walk away. It was quite windy down at the beach and the waves were pretty big and the beach is a little bit shabby but overall nice enough.
Zacharo itself is nice enough, the square is lively at night with plenty of places to eat at a reasonable price. It's also located on the coast and is great for access to the various beaches and tourist spots around the Peloponnese. 
We had a lovely holiday and would recommend staying here, especially if you have kids. 

The apartment in which we stayed was big and clean, with the bedroom separated from the kitchen and living room, and a huge balcony with outdoor furniture.
In the common areas there were a private parking and a swimming pool with bar.
I'd like to highlight how close the apartments are from great beaches. You don't even need the car if you don't want.

What a lovely place and owners! Spacious rooms, nice pool area, big terrace/balcony and good location near the beach. We were here in June 2019 with a quite big group so we almost had the whole hotel only for us. The owners were really hospitable; they brought us food, beer and swimming toys. 

Kitchen had every possible equipments from toaster to waffle iron, so you can cook anything you want. There was also two air-source heat pumps in the room, which was really good. 

If something needs improvement, it's the beds. They were quite hard. Also it was difficult to find the place with car, because the gate was unnoticeable and the signs were misleading.

A tip for you: come by car, because the city center and everything you need to see in Zacharo requires a car!

I think I'm not gonna lie if I say that this was the best hotel in Zacharo. Our friends stayed in another hotel right next to us and they didn't have pool. Also when we were driving around, many hotels were quite far from the centre in countryside.
But of course if you want hotel breakfast, this is not for you. Or if you want to buy drinks and food from the hotel, it's not possible because they don't have cafeteria or anything. However, I believe the owners bring you almost anything you want and make sure you are happy :) and there were good restaurants only a few hundred meters away.

Clean, spacious rooms will amenities necessary. The pools are very clean and well maintained. Parking spaces inside the property. Thanasis and Panayota, the owners, are always available to help and provide information.
