Apto no Union Residence

I've stayed several times at this hotel when in the area for business and I often think I should try somewhere else. But in a city like this and when I'm in and out in a week I feel better the devil you know rather than risk something worse. I have stayed at Ibis hotel, just up the road but the food offering is poor and it doesn't feel safe to walk in the area to look for nighttime dining options. At Union Hotel the rooms are clean but very basic. One frustration with this hotel is every time I stay, in every room I find it's necessary to use two hands with enormous effort to turn off the water taps in the bathroom. This hotel would be responsible for the wastage of hundreds of thousands of litres of water a year simply flowing down the drain because, despite my previous complaints, never get this fixed. I personally have concerns for the world over future water needs so it disturbs me to see how this is not considered important enough for this hotel to address. On this visit there was a new (very beautiful) young lady at reception but she spoke no English, however, did bring up a translation on the computer to understand I was asking about laundry services. We finally managed to get me an iron (which was the quality of a plastic toy) but seems they have no ironing board. Breakfast on the 18th floor is good but sadly this hotel still offers no dining facilities for lunch or dinner.
