Tungapuri Hotel

Naypyidaw

This hotel has one of the best restaurants in the area called Tai Kitchen. Eastern Shan food, similar to Thai. Spacious rooms and beds are comfortable with reasonable price for rooms. However facilities were less compared to other hotels  in Naypyidaw. No swimming pool, no gym, no spa. Some other hotels near by with same price have pool and gym. My main concern was hot water for shower. It was not working in my room 111 and it is deluxe room. I asked them in the morning before going out but not fixed when I am back at 4 pm. I told them again but still cold water at 8 pm. Technician came only after I told the reception for third time and checked. He was nice but  he said he is alone, it is dark. I have to wait till morning. They wanted to give me another room. Breakfast also not so good. They have some variety but not quality. New-cafe machine which is third or forth class for real coffee lovers. I will not come back here unless they improve the facilities. 

Very good restaurant, friendly staff but not good service 

Such a nice and cozy hotel. I feel like home being there. 3 storied; 1 story is underground. 
Room are nice, clean and with basic amenities. Towels maybe small for you. 
They have bolster!!!
Breakfast is OK. Not much choices but with an egg counter. 
Checkin 2 pm. It is quick but checkout, it takes time especially if you are in a rush. Staff are not used to with cards.
Closed to a local bbq hotpot place and a local decent traditional restaurant which you can have high level event. 

Cozy friendly but slow

Good hotel for one Night Stay. Stayed in basement floor Room 015 and paid for 26000 kyats. Room is a bit small but ok. Twin Bed only.Clean and comfortable bed and pillow.

2nd time stayed at 3rd floor and paid 38000 kyats. Room is spacious,clean and well equip. Comfortable Bed/pillow and clean bed linen/towel.

Breakfast is perfect especially noodle salad mix with meat and chilies,Lashio style noodle I think.
Will stay again.



Stayed in two occasions 

I happened to make a two week trip to the capital of Myanmar, the famed Naypyitaw.  Being a first trip to the capital, I shopped for a hotel on-line but at the end asked for recommendations based on the price range that I preferred.  But since I was there during off season, hotel prices were really hitting the floor.  I booked in a different hotel for the first 4 days and then found on-line a much better one at the same price and so I moved.  It was not a difficult decision since the hotel is closer to the shopping mall and restaurant and it has this very attractive and imposing hotel building (which unfortunately is closed).  The main hotel building of Tungapuri stands out because of its modern or unusual design. 
The rooms are wide spacious, well-appointed and complimentary drinks are generously provided.  The room is clean, good bed, clean sheets (changed everyday? It feels like it though) and towels and everything in the room works.   The hotel staffs are very courteous and helpful,  breakfast is not bad with wide choices of local cuisine.
One thing that stands out in this hotel is its “green” nature, which I am inclined to think, green beyond just being physically green because of lush vegetation.  The planning of the hotel seems to have incorporated the environment.  Consider these features, the hotel’s parking lot is planted with hedges and trees for shade, the hotel building has trees in its podium and the roof top which is visible from afar.  More interestingly, it reuses old car tires as rubbish bins.  The old tires are painted in bright colors and stacked about 5 tires high and lined with plastic rubbish bags.  A number of these are scattered around the hotel ground.  I give this hotel a good to very good rating.

Receptionists are friendly. Room is nice with wifi access, 32" LCD with around 15 channels. Breakfast is quite nice.Located at  Hotel zone 1 which can easily access from Naypyidaw International Airport (only 11.4Km). Room Rate is reasonable than other hotel (same room & facilities). Very close to Chinese restaurant and Thai Kitchen restaurant.
