Please do yourself a favour and stay away from this place. The area is unsafe. It’s a hotspot for refugees and I almost got robbed next to the place. The internet did not work and I’m a full-time student. I asked the owner if I can cancel my reservation on the same day that I arrived because I don’t feel safe and because I have to attend class and the internet is too weak for conference calls and she could care less. She said you can leave but I’m not giving you any money back. When people only care about your money and will do anything to keep it, you know it’s not a good business. For only a bit more money, you can book something much, much better and save yourself the trouble.

STAY AWAY— PLEASE!

Nothing locks, anyone can walk in, no privacy in the showers. This place is an absolute nightmare for female travelers. I left due to a very uncomfortable situation and now they are claiming i never showed up for my booking. Not only is it unsafe but a big scam.

Avoid this place

Accommodation in Cyprus is not cheap and even though the price for budget travelers is quite high. it is amongst the most affordable you get on the island. Expect an old-looking guestroom with the basic requirements that function as well as needed. Warm water is there after turning the switch on 15min in advance. Having to warm water is a Cyprus thing that is seen over the whole island even people with beautiful homes practice the turned-off switch. 

Great thing is that it attracts chill open-minded people.

Dusty look, but fine to crash for budget travelers

The location - just of from old town, restaurants, shops everything is close (THIS IS NOT GOOD LOCATION IF YOU WANT TO BE CLOSE TO THE BEACH)
The staff - the lady was extremely nice, and I even got New Years cake from her as present, she was also very easy going and accommodating.
Facilities - there is common area, kitchen and laundry machine.

People complained about the bathroom, but c'mon for this price, don't expect too much, the most important there was always warm water.

The thing that might bother to people is temperature in the rooms - I was here in January, the rooms were cold the temperature outside was higher than inside, and the only heating was a small electric stove, which wasn't enough to heat the whole room. Coming from Poland this did not bother me, but I believe that some travellers might find the temperature inside too low.

Great value for the price

Friendly hostel for travelers you like to save money - wc, showers were shared with other hostel guests. Good thing that there were a kitchen where you can cook your own meals. Our room was a bit dirty near the window, looked like somebody broke the window sill and didn’t broom it. Not the best place for people who like to wake up late, as the nearby church was ringing bells quite early and construction workers started their job early. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

Friendly hostel for cheap travelers

Had very poor experience. Was extremely cold as no heating provided in the rooms and the balcony doors do not close properly, so almost feels like sleeping outside (if only it was dry), and even blanket did not help much. 
My room also faced the main street with apparently some cafe open late at night and having music and party that I unvoluntary became a part of instead having some sleep.
One toilet was not working, and for over 10 people staying at the time to have just 1 operating toilet is certainly not enough, caused me some inconvenience in the morning.
People were smoking at the kitchen which should be out of the question. Kitchen itself is very small and basic, even no tea.
Half of the guests were staying there long-term (like for months) and those were very welcoming and helpful. But I encountered harrasment from some other guest and could not feel safe during my stay.
Could become a very nice place with its own character if taken better care of.

Very cold, lacks some care

This well located hotel as described above brings you near to where the Cypriot young crowd socialise and away from the tourist strip. There is a good choice of restaurants with attractive local cuisine to a high standard close by. TRIANON is very good value and far from the typical strip near the harbour. The service is friendly, facilities are consistent with what you would find in a hostel, comes with a personal touch and really suits people who like to take matters into their own hands. And it is good value. 

Independent and Friendly Place to Stay

I was very happy about everything in this hostel.  It is an old guest house, but everything was okay and I was here to sleep not to stay in luxury. So thank you nice lady running the hostel!

Thank God I Found another hotel to stay that night. Rooms are from 70s. Very dirty, I could not stay there even for a minute. I ask for a cancelation and the receptionist wanted to charge me the whole amount. I paid for the one of the two nights and she did not give me a receipt. I demanded for it and she pushed me,said that I have no shrine and drove me away. I went to the police station and  I made a complain. I went back to receive the receipt after the policeman called the hotel and no one was there.
