Top of the Town Tourist Park Stanthorpe

Sites are large and well spaced around the granite rocks and facilities are great. The location is on the edge of town so very convenient to cafes, restaurants and easy access to the wineries and local attractions around Stanthorpe and Ballandean.

What a lovely tourist park. Staff were lovely. The park was clean, very neat and tidy. Amenities were spotless. Couldn't really fault anything. Great location and pretty central. Such a variety of accommodation options from tenting to motel rooms.

What a peaceful place... walking around the Hida old town was so  relaxing after Takayama. We look for authentic experienced. If you go to Toyama hop a train to Hida then takayama. You will wish you stayed in Hida like we did. 

You can also hop on a local bus fron Takayama about 380 yen one way 40 minutes. (Nori Bus co.)  

Takayama is geared towards tourism. However Due to lack of staff availability many shops restaurants have changing opening hours which was  frustrating.. mostly closed.

We booked a powered site with en-suite at short-notice as our plans had changed. Staff were helpful, friendly, efficient and flexible. We stayed 3 nights and loved it  Well run and picturesque park with good facilities. 
Local area has so much to offer - great food, wineries, walks and more. Will definitely return to Stanthorpe and will book again at Top of the Town!

We stayed overnight at a powered site in the bush beautiful garden environment. Camped under a tree with the sun setting the birds calling and the pit fire crackling- was a highlight of our trip. There were lots of nearby ammenities and the park was well organised and laid out with everything sight posted and easy to find. A great spot. We will be back.

We took our New Van up to Stanthorpe and spent three great days in a very beautiful picturesque
Van park. What we asked for was very well catered for. I would recommend this park as a base for days trips on the granite belt.

Only negative is some things are getting a little dated and need a bit of TLC. Otherwise 👍

This tourist park is fantastic! The staff was so welcoming and friendly!  The bathrooms were clean and fresh, as was the kitchen.  The gardens are well-maintained. The sites are big - we had a large campervan and there was plenty of room for us, without encroaching on our neighbours' privacy. It's a great location from which to visit the wineries and other attractions. Town is probably about a 15-minute walk from the campground.  We are already planning the next trip.  Highly recommend this park!!!

We stayed in Stanthorpe, drought affected and on emergency water restrictions, to spend our tourist money. The caravan park, on the edge of town, offers every traveller what they need: powered and unpowered sites, cabins, a motel, lodge, three camp kitchens, lots of amenities, even a pool! They ask that you have short showers and don’t wash cars or vans, but they make you very welcome and suggest lots of great local attractions. A lovely spot for a night, a week or even longer. We’ll be back!

Non powered camping plenty of site options (though be careful some are not flat) excellent amenities best ive seen, plus heaps of different rooms, games, outdoor theatre etc. Laundry $4 per load easy to use. Close to town and rsstaurant accross street. Highly recommend.

We stayed 2 nights on a powered site. From the minute we arrived and checked in, felt very comfortable. Ernie was very helpful and exuded a calmness that should be adopted in cities everywhere. Ran into him a couple of times through our stay and all he seemed concerned about was whether we were ok. The missus couldn't rate the ammenities any higher - so clean! I even managed to relax, ahhhhhh.... seriously good place, and will be back. Let's all pray for rain for the locals, they are doing it tough. Cheers!

We stayed in a family cabin which had a fire to keep us warm. The cabin was comfortable and clean and had all we needed. Was a good price for what you got. The park is beautiful with some nice walks and fire pits scattered around . The relaxing quiet nature of the park is a plus. We walked across to the Aussie Beef Steakhouse across the road which was also very good. Would recommend and would stay again.

Great location, well-run, friendly

We stayed in a motel room and it was tidy/clean. The only issue we had is that parking isn't marked and there are no lines. So other rooms parked in front of our room and the cars were so spaced out they were taking up multiple spaces. Meaning with young kids we had to park some distance away and walk back to our room.

Granite Belt long weekend

This park is enormous. It has many cabins and sites but also acres of bush land if you want to explore. It is a little way out of the town centre but the walk is easy. There is a museum almost adjacent. Sadly it it is open when I wasn’t there.  I was travelling solo and was given a singles rate. I have not experienced this before.

The amenities were clean and modern. It is a lovely park.

We checked in for only one night but after seeing the facilities and park itself we decided to stop for another night.  The park is reasonably priced.  Very well maintained.  Toilet/showers spotless.  We used the laundry which again was spotless.  Would recommend this caravan park to anyone visiting Stanthorpe.  As a bonus
A heritage museum located beside the park is well worth a visit.

Great park, enjoyed our stay

Can recommend this tidy, friendly park.  Our first night on our RV tour - perhaps the best, but we didn't have anything to compare it to yet.....easy now to understand why this is so well-rated (Travellers' Choice).  Well maintained with shady trees and lovely clean amenities block and generous sized powered, level, sites.  Pool looked lovely, although we didn't try it  (the temperature was so comfortable and the smell of pine so nice we enjoyed our evening under the awning of the RV).  Next time we'll avail ourselves of the good restaurant across the road and the 15 minute stroll into town

Should have stayed more than one night!

We stayed in a powered site for 2 nights just days before Xmas. It was lovely.
Super quiet at night and the other caravanners/campers were very nice and friendly.
Kerri-Anne in the office is fantastic, very friendly, welcoming and accommodating.
We enjoyed it so much we booked for 3 nights on our return from Brisbane.
The Amenities are really clean and modern. It's a huge park and fortunately wasn't too busy, however on our return it was quite packed but still a great stay.
Really enjoyed the township and the wonderful fresh fruit you can buy straight from the farmer's gates.
