As we pulled up to the Stovall House, I felt like we were stepping into another place and time. The beauty and charm of the old farmhouse exuded warmth and character. While I'd like to say it felt a bit like "Little House on The Prairie", it is actually a BIG house on rolling green hills with massive old trees and a beautiful view of the foothills. Every morning, Ms. Erin crafted a fantastic breakfast complete with fresh meat and eggs from the farm. My son has severe food allergies, and she was careful to curate options just for him because she takes allergies seriously. We felt very cared for by this! We enjoyed our view of the hills and the pasture as we'd watch the sun burn off the rolling fog during our delicious breakfast on the massive wraparound porch. 
Each evening, a fire was prepared in the fire pit, surrounded by comfortable Adirondack chairs. Personalized packages of the makings for s'mores were waiting for us each night to enjoy by the fire. The stars and the view were magnificent. Such a reflection of God's divine glory! 
One of the highlights for me was the sleeping porch where my kids stayed. It was so cozy and nostalgic. We played games on the rug in the lamplight before bed, and in the morning, the sun poured in through windows on all three sides. 
Our entire stay felt magical to me. As a mom, it was wonderful to feel like food and table were prepared for me, and I didn't have to do a thing! The beds were comfortable. Everything was completely clean. We felt so relaxed and refreshed there. I hope we can make it back to Helen one day. If we do, I know right where we will stay! 

Absolutely Magical 

A house with great owners and a front porch that feels like home. The large house sits on 23 acres in a valley with close views of the mountains, a garden, a yard with black walnut trees, and a large firepit to make smores (all supplied) or just relax. In the morning, we were treated to a unique, tasty breakfast made up with freshly made fruit salad, freshly laid eggs, and zucchini bread with a lemon, goat cheese glaze. The house has five guest rooms but we stayed in the yellow room both times as we like the large comfortable bed, great shower and tje large window which opens to get fresh cool mountain air. The owners have two friendly dogs who are brought to the B&B every morning and provide an added attraction while sitting on the front porch. Location wise, the B&B is a short drive to Helen, Anna Ruby Falls, and several wineries, and hiking trails. Erin's husband, Jeff was a big help planning our first day's itinerary both times we visited, until we got the lay of the land. I hope you have as nice weather as we had and get to enjoy all there is to do and see in the area.

A great bed & excellent breakfast experience

I had such a lovely time when I came last year in September for a wedding, I had to come back to the best bed and breakfast I’d ever been to. The food, service, bedroom and view was unbelievable. Erin and Jeff are great host and will help you out with any questions you have for activities to do in the area. Can’t wait to come back! 

Best Bed and Breakfast Experience

The wedding was so Awesome!! Our friends were married here and did their reception and it was outstanding! Jeff and Erin have an incredible place and are so welcoming! The wedding was flawless. The bridal suite looks like it’s out of a movie. I would not recommend going any where else!

My wife, daughter, and I stayed for a wedding in April and it was incredible! The owners are amazing people that provide excellent hospitality. The wedding was breathtaking and everyone had the most fun! We will be returning very soon.

Incredible Wedding Experience

The Stovall House blends history and modern comfort to perfection. The house has been immaculately restored with so much of its history intact, but the comfy beds, plush towels, AC and fiber supported WiFi make it as comfortable as any luxury hotel.  Plus, the breakfasts and views from the porch are hard to beat!

Amazing stay!! Beautiful house and gorgeous property. Breakfast was a delicious highlight. All organic!  Jeff and Erin are the perfect hosts!  Recommend staying here when visiting Helen and the area. 

The perfect B and B!

Had an excellent stay at the Stovall House while attending a wedding nearby at Yonah Mountain Vineyard.  We had been recommended to stay in a few chain hotels in downtown Helen but I was very glad I looked a bit harder to find this charming inn. The home itself has been excellently maintained and updated where needed with modern amenities but while maintaining its historic charm.  The views from almost every window were lovely, as the property sits on a beautiful promontory with vistas in every direction.  The owners were great and were helpful in getting settled in and learning about activities in the local area.  My favorite part about staying at Inns is always breakfast and Stovall did not disappoint- we had a great breakfast in the beautiful dining room before hitting the road on the way back to the airport.  My girlfriend particularly enjoyed the welcoming party of dogs that equally enthusiastically bid us farewell when we parted ways.

Glad we found the Stovall House

Wonderful vintage home with gracious hosts. We winged a trip to Helen Georgia and found this wonderful gem. Accommodations were amazing. Breakfast was included and simply divine. I would not stay anywhere except this wonderful home. Very comfortable bed and private bath.

Wonderful gem !!!

Me and my wife stayed at the Stovall Inn for 3 nights over the long Memorial Day weekend and it was a great experience for numerous reasons. The owners, Erin and Jeff are super nice people who genuinely care about your time there. Jeff was the waiter for breakfast while Erin cooked outstanding meals. After eating breakfast I enjoyed sitting on the porch and drinking coffee while hanging out with Raj and Roxy (Jeff’s dogs).  This was also an anniversary weekend for me and my wife and Erin was essential in planning and delivering a fruit/cheese/wine basket for my wife. And one of the nights we were there Jeff made us a fire to sit around.  Also, Jeff could double as a local tour guide. Two of the mornings we were there we basically just asked Jeff what we should do that day and he never missed the mark. Sent us to do fun stuff both times. And steered us to two good restaurants. Most B&B’s, in my experience, don’t allow kids but this place does. So the night that Jeff made us a fire, several kids ended up making s’mores. What’s funny is at the beginning I was thinking “I’m gonna have a romantic night by he fire” then the kids showed up. But honestly, we had a pretty good time making s’mores with them ourselves and made some new friends with their parents and grandparents. We stayed in the Terra Cotta room which is the only room downstairs (I didn’t feel like walking upstairs all weekend. The Terra Cotta room was very comfortable and had everything we needed but it was right next to the main entrance and the staircase leading upstairs so we could hear everybody coming and going. On the Sunday morning we were there, one of the other guests stood on the porch outside our bedroom window and had a super loud conversation on the phone that woke us up earlier than we wanted. So if having a more quiet room is a goal, shoot for the upstairs rooms. Aside from the noise associated with the lower room, the weekend was perfect and this place still get 5 stars. Honestly, if there was an option for 30 stars I’d feel comfortable doing that. I’ve stayed at B&Bs before and none of them compare to the Stovall House and it’s because of the hospitality of Erin and Jeff. If they weren’t been there, I don’t think the Stovall House would be so successful. I absolutely 165% recommend the Stovall House. Jeff thanks for being an awesome tour guide and Mrs. Erin, thanks for the breakfasts and gift basket. It absolutely would not have been a successful anniversary weekend without you guys.
