Nice roadside stop.  Quaint building, solid menu, decent wines and fair prices. We did not checkout the hotel part, but we enjoyed the restaurant and bar.  Plus they offer patio dining and are pet-friendly on the patio. Enjoyed their version of brussels spouts and even had some fried pickles.   I'd stop again should I happen to be passing through Davenport.

We had a nice stay at the Davenport Roadhouse. I would recommend the Captain Davenport room as it's the largest room with sitting areas so you don't have to sit on the bed. Food downstairs in the restaurant was good. Appetizers,  pizza, breakfast all good, but the burgers were our favorite. You can easily park the car for the weekend and walk across the street to the beach, hiking trails. Thank Davenport Roadhouse for a beautiful relaxing weekend.

Excellent quality tasty and spicy hot wings, cool local great beer, very good tacos with tasty meat and fresh vegetables, great fried pickles. Food came quickly and the size was generous
Service is superb, kind and friendly (tnx Janeen), and the owner is so friendly and happy to help and chat (well done Chris!).
Also there are live music performances! 

This historic, charming village alongside the stunning California cliffs & beaches, is a beautiful place to visit for a few days. We stayed in Captain Davenport's Suite for 5 days in June 2020. In spite of COVID-19 health requirements, we felt most comfortable & safe. The new owners are amazing - expressing their passion & commitment to excellence in every way. The staff, many of whom have worked here for years, are wonderful. The room was most comfortable & spacious - with lovely views of the ocean . The drinks & food are fantastic - fresh & tasty. Truly a delightful visit.

We are in the middle of Quarantine (march 27, 2020). Nonetheless we can get limited to-go food at local restaurants. This is my second Bistro Burger this week. Normally I order steak or fish. This cheese burger is to die for. Salad included is excellent. Also had a great cookie.

My hubby remembered stopping here many years ago so we went out of our way to visit again for lunch. Had a yummy Margarita pizza and steak sandwich. Salad dressing was delicious. Our server was friendly and checked on us often. Nice little gift shop and a bar attached to the restaurant.

After a horrible experience at a different establishment, we found Davenport Roadhouse Restaurant. We had the best burgers, pizza, and beers. The servers were friendly and the restaurant was clean. With rustic decor the ambience was perfect for peaceful dining.

This is one of my favorite restaurants, and I'm so happy to see it back in business under new ownership. I had a fine meal today, but I'd like the staff 1) to reconsider the music (hiphop that may be for them, but not for the customer), and 2) to stand back a bit from the table (during these threatening times).

Myself & 4 girlfriends went to celebrate one of the friends' birthday there this past Sunday. We were all pleasantly surprised at the quality & taste of our food. While the hamburger one of our group had ordered was not quite the best, she may have ordered it over-cooked, so was her own mistake.

I ordered the Mushroom Panini sandwich. It was delicious! Crimini & porcini mushrooms with ? cheese (can't remember what kind of cheese it had in it) but it was very tasty. Instead of the fries, I opted for the garden salad as my side. Was just the perfect amount of food to go along with a well-made Bloody Mary.

Another "gal" in our group ordered the tempura battered fish & chips. She quizzed our waiter pretty thoroughly about the amount of batter on the fish, not wanting it to be too thick & heavy. The waiter assured her that it was light & fluffy & that is exactly the way it came. She thoroughly enjoyed her lunch also.

Out-of-towners need to be aware that it is usually quite windy in Davenport, being right on the coast. I noticed there is now a winery next door and the Roadhouse has a small gift shop for buying souveniers.

Overall, a very pleasant place to spend a sunny, Sunday afternoon. Just be prepared for a chilly wind coming directly off the ocean.

Can't say anything about the hotel portion as I have never stayed there.

We made our first trip to this part of the California coast last week.  My husband I planned our trip to explore the beach at low tide and have lunch, too.  We both ordered seafood, which is sustainably harvested.  The restaurant has a nice range of local wines and beers to pair with your meal. We both enjoyed our lunches and will return next time we head this way. Our server was very friendly and helpful in choosing our lunches.
