The place is just amazing. When you come here after a long safari trip people meet you so warm, with dance and fire show! We had tears! Luxury rooms and perfect service! The food in restaurant is great! Thank you Helen for your care and professionalism! We will come back for sure!

Our stay at the Castle was lovely! In a country full of mosquito nets and campsites, this was a luxurious respite from the normal safari accommodations. We had the best night sleep, a delicious and filling dinner and breakfast, and such a warm welcome from the kind staff. It's slightly off the beaten path, but so worth it when you arrive to the beautiful castle, views, and expansive rooms. Stay here!

Stayed here one night during our Tarangire/Serengeti/Ngorongoro safari. We were blown away by the kindness and attentiveness of the staff, the delicious meals, and the giant beautiful room that we had! Definitely recommend.

Our stay here was fantastic! We were welcomed with a song and glass of tropical juice, and the hospitality just kept coming! Beautiful room, pretty view, and a hard working staff kept us relaxed and comfortable the whole time. Special shout-out to Emmanuel for being so happy and cheerful and making sure we were well taken care of. We highly recommend!

We spent 2 nights at Ngorongoro Castle as part of our 4-day safari with Gosheni Safaris. We booked the "budget" accommodations as part of our safari, but boy were we surprised when we pulled up to Ngorongoro Castle. This place is LUXURIOUS and is nowhere near what I would have expected for the price!

I was completely blown away by the incredible grounds -- the buildings look like actual stone-walled castles overlooking gorgeous greenery with the perfect view of sunset. The facilities are incredibly new and clean, and I was so excited to have a bath tub in our room! Our room also had two beds, a sofa, a gorgeous lookout with a window, and a desk and chair. The bathroom was incredibly spacious with the tub and shower head, two sinks and a great sized mirror. 

Emmanuel our host at Ngorongoro Castle really went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We were greeted warmly with songs, drinks and conversation with our host. Emmanuel made sure all of our needs were taken care of and was eager to help us whenever we had any questions or requests. The food at both breakfast and dinner was outstanding - I ate so much and it was all SO good! Emmanuel even moved tables outside for us to enjoy the fresh morning air while we ate breakfast.

Ngorongoro Castle is a great place to stay before going into the crater or after a day in Tarangire National Park. They are currently working on constructing a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the trees - I can imagine it's going to be breathtaking when it's complete!

We very much enjoyed are stay at the Castle. It is new, clean, modern, and situated with a spectacular view of the forest. The food was phenomenal and the service was impeccable. I would recommend staying here.

One of the best lodge at Karatu and the best place to spend your night during safari trip in Tanzania 
The lodge has the best view as surrounded with coffee-plantation , the service is good and staff are very friendly  

The Castle was one of the best lodges our group stayed at. It was at the edge of crater so the ride to it was bumpy. Also, there was a little issue with water pressure. But each room offers breathtaking views of the Ngorongoron forest that made up for everything.

Great Location

Beautiful Castle!

This hotel is quite difficult to find but it’s in a lovely area with great views and very quiet.
The rooms are huge but lack any character.
The food was very average.
But the staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful.
Nice for one night on the way to Ngorongoro.
There’s a nice swimming pool and lovely gardens.
But it’s quite uphill to get to the rooms so need to be a bit fit .

Treated like royalty at Ngorongoro Castle!

Our dinner and breakfast here were the best we had in Tanzania. Excellent chef. Our room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, the shower very pleasant. The toiletries provided were minimal and there was no hair drier, I expected more given this is a luxury lodge and not cheap. A shame, as these little things mean a downgrade from excellent. Loved the farewell song.
