We stayed only a few days, but it was wonderful! The house is set in a beautiful garden, surrounded by orchids and other exotic plants. The room was well decorated and kept very clean by the staff. And we got to try many local dishes that were made with fresh, local ingredients. Breakfast was filled with fresh fruit, breads and different types of Jamaican breakfast foods. I definitely recommend the Coconut Rundown Shrimp that we had for dinner. Wonderful! And always served with fresh squeezed juice, yummy.

A wonderful time in Jamaica!

My wife and I stayed here for 4 days, and it was the best decision we could have ever made. For anyone that wants to truly experience the true culture and vibe of Jamaica, this is the place to go.  The hospitality was great and Darryl’s dinner was even better. We even enjoyed dinner with other guests as well.  I would do this over a resort any day!

Piece of paradise

The Blue House is an absolute gem! It's a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle, offering a genuine taste of Jamaican culture. The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The food is excellent  – make sure to save room for dinner because you won't want to miss out! Just go ahead book your stay … it will be all you needed and more. We stayed during Spring Break with our two kids and in laws and my kids didn’t wanna leave!

Spring Breaking at The Blue House

Visited the Blue House with my family and had one of the best experiences ever. The host are the best people you could ever meet, the rooms are extremely spacious and comfortable, the food and service is top notch, the staff is very attentive and friendly and the grounds is an absolute oasis. We are looking forward to our next visit.

The Blue House is simply amazing.

I just returned from two weeks in heaven. Everything about The Blue House exceeded my expectations and it was my experience there that made my trip absolutely perfect. I traveled solo and stayed in the cozy cottage. The cottage was wonderful - clean and well decorated, super comfortable bed and sitting area. It was everything that a generic hotel room is not. But what made it different than any other place I could have stayed was the private garden. I spent days sitting and reading surrounded by gorgeous plants, flowers, orchids and an endless stream of hummingbirds. And when I wasn't in the garden, I was in the pool - peaceful, quiet and the perfect temperature. 

Meals were served on the upper balcony overlooking the hills with gorgeous views. (I also had the option to have some of my dinners in my own quiet little garden.) Speaking of meals... Darryl is an exquisite chef. His food is simply amazing, and he always makes sure to cater to your own tastes - how adventurous do you want to be? How spicy do you like it? I love adventurous eating and lots of spice and he did not disappoint! Authentic Jamaican and Chinese cuisine were fulfilling for the body and soul. And it was such a joy to sit and visit with Darryl and Elise and some of the other guests. So many wonderful stories to be shared and no shortage of laughter and learning. And a shout-out to Marlon was the perfect host for many of my dinners. 

Patrick was the perfect tour guide and "chaperone." As a local, he knew exactly how to help me experience the area to meet my desire for adventure and really understanding the culture, people and environment. And as a solo female traveler, I have to be cautious about what I do, but with him by my side I got to meet people and see things that no tour could provide and I was safe and comfortable and absolutely in heaven.  

I can't say enough wonderful things about my two weeks at The Blue House. Book it now so you don't miss out on this experience!!

Two weeks in heaven!

This place is amazing! This is the place to stay if you are looking for a villa in Ocho Rios. The staff was amazing. Our driver Patrick was absolutely the best, always making sure that we were safe and have everything we needed. The chef was great. The food was delicious. I would definitely come back.

Family getaway

The Blue House  Boutique Bed and Breakfast Villa was absolutely amazing!!!
Someone once said, "we eat first with our eyes." This was one part of my experience  at the Blue House Boutique. The food reminded me of why I'll always love my home, Jamaica. The ambiance created a relaxing mood, and to top it off, the service was beyond excellent. We were a family of 10, and it was the perfect place for us. The location was ideal. We felt safe, and safety was our #1 priority.  The gardens were beautiful.  The pool clean and pretty. The place felt like home away from home. It's a must try. It's simply the best!!!

Family getaway at the Blue House Boutique Bed and Breakfast Villa 

Beautiful, well maintained property and gorgeous, colourful gardens. The room was clean and the bed super comfortable. The pool was clean and fun. Friendly staff. And the food second to none!!  Elise and Darryl were the best and very accommodating. Would definitely go back. 

Stayed for a week and loved it!

We recently returned from our first visit to Jamaica.  Our stay at The Blue House just couldn't have been better.  From the minute we walked in, we were made to feel welcome by everyone at Blue House.  The attention to detail that is given is just phenomenal.   The room was a beautiful cool oasis.  Spotlessly clean and with a great shower, it was a great place to rest and recharge away from the heat.  But it was the outside facilities that made our visit so unforgettable.  The gardens are alive with birds, butterflies and lizards.  We drank coffee every morning in the shade of a bougainvillea arbour surrounded by a display of nature - just unforgettable!  And now to the food...it is DELICIOUS!   The breakfasts were fresh, with locally sourced and varied ingredients and they really gave us a taste of Jamaica.  You just wouldn't find these breakfasts in a big resort stay.  The dinners were just as good, with so much taste and variety.  Our vegetarian diet was catered for beautifully whilst still giving us the flavours of Jamaica.  Nothing was too much trouble for Daryl and Elise.  They sat and talked with us every day, helping us learn about life in Jamaica as well as sorting out some amazing trips out with Patrick, who was our driver during our stay.  They are both lovely people who have lived really interesting lives.  They gave us lots to think about as well as great care and service.  Miss D, Jordane and Sanjay also all did an excellent job looking after us, managing to combine  warmth and friendliness with low key, high-level service.  Did we find one of the best places to stay in Jamaica?  Undoubtedly!  Would we stay again?  In a heartbeat.  Would we recommend The Blue House to others?  It would be a shame for you to miss it if you're going to be in Ocho Rios.  It really was a piece of paradise.  Thank you everyone.

It was my second time at the blue house, it was very peaceful and the staff are very cool. Shout out to Sanjay. The food was great and we all had a nice time. I will definitely visit the blue house again in the future.
