The Baker's House

We originally booked 3 nights but stayed 7 nights because we liked it so much. The room was very big and there was a great big balcony overlooking the residential street. The bed was comfortable and the shower was decent. Air con worked well too. There is no TV and the house is a 15/20min drive from George town...so there isn't much to do in the house but it's a comfortable place to stay and the neighbourhood is very quiet. Kai was very helpful and recommended some amazing places to eat and visit. She provided an annotated map of Georgetown which was very useful and she was available on whats app to answer any questions we had. There is no cleaning service provided but when we wanted fresh towels, Kai provided them. The owners son uses the kitchen on the ground floor for his baking business but there is a communal fridge and a couple of seats on the ground floor which can be used. They always provide filtered water. The place is very secure; a security guard at the main entrance and electric gates at the front of the house. If you want somewhere out of the main town, this place is ideal but you will need your own transport...or rely on taxis.
