752 reviewsWe stayed at The Acorn Inn for two nights in early January 2025 with my adult children and their partners to celebrate Christmas as we hadn't all been together during the December break. It was an excellent stay, excellent attentive service, excellent food and drink and comfortable rooms and beds. We chose The Acorn Inn due to its location, dog policy and as it had a separate vegan menu for one of us and also catered for another in respect of her gluten intolerance. Anything we asked about food wise was answered immediately and catered for. The menu was varied (we ate here both nights) and the drinks menu was superb - although to be fair once we tried the Old Fashioneds we didn't tend to deviate away from them! We loved the "snug" area where we spent the evenings in front of the open fire (the dog taking up most of the heat) and all the art and antiques that fill the Inn. The rooms were comfortable and quiet and warm. Staff were excellent. I had one issue to raise after I got home which was handed over the phone and resolved immediately. The garden at the rear of the Inn allows you take your dog out if needed for breaks throughout the night. The Acorn Inn is about 30 minutes drive from the coast - we went to Bridport during the day. Cannot recommend highly enough - we will be back
