Did a lot of research prior to booking, but this place was always in the top five. Can’t fault the hotel in any shape or form. The prayer calls from the local mosque were a trifle loud, but you got used to it, and culturally, I rather enjoyed it. We could hear the local bars in the evening, but nothing too annoying. Besides, the license to play music shuts down at 1 a.m. The room was perfect with enough interior space so as not to bump into each other, plus we had a large private balcony. Staff were very helpful. Lovely setting in a walled courtyard. Very relaxing. I imagine the old town does get a little lively later into the summer, so I wouldn’t go any later than mid-May (but each to their own, of course!). Totally recommend. Mustn’t forget the breakfasts which were top notch! Some might wish more meat, but I preferred the fruit and salad, plus the different egg recipes. Overall, definitely good value.
