I was looking for a clean quiet spot for our team to debrief before returning to the united states. This was a great spot, good service, friendly and clean. There was not a lot of activity and that was perfect for us. I don't know how any one could complain, specially for the price you pay. Not all rooms were updated but some of ours were. The view is so peaceful and relaxing. A great place to unwind and talk and relax.

The hotel is on a dual carriageway so if you are driving yourself, you need to be mindful of this. The hotel is in need of some TLC. So, let's start with the positives, there is a beautiful view from the balcony, the shower was hot and the floor was clean. There was also a TV which worked. The negatives are... the sheets had stains, the pool looked contaminated and you can really go into the sea from the hotel due to the sea bed. The continental breakfast ran on JA time and there is no wifi in the room. When I stayed there, I was the only one staying at the hotel.

Only if you have no other choice

When I arrived at Syrynity Palace, the room was adequate for the price but the smell!  It smelled of mold and mildew.  The staff let me check another room which was exactly the same.  I am highly allergic to mold so we did not stay.  Neither the hotel nor expedia offered me any sort of assistance or refund.  I was charged for the entire stay.

Oh that smell

From reading the reviews beforehand I knew this place had many negative points about it however I was in Montego Bay for a funeral and it was the nearest available place to stay as it was a last minute booking. I even brought my own towels, sheets and pillow cases which were needed. Upon arrival which was around 10pm due to a delayed flight the place look deserted with no reception area at all. There were 2 guys who were security though they looked like regular guys wearing casual clothes. We were shown our room. The room was spacious but very basic and as mentioned I brought my own sheets and towels. On the first night at around 3 am we were woken up by someone trying to open our door. Luckily we had a latch on. We told security the next day and they said they didn't see anyone. Due to the funeral we got back late again the second night and for our own safety we put a chair against the door and stayed awake most of the night. The next day we were told breakfast wasn't there. In the end we cancelled the rest of the stay and ended up staying elsewhere. To cancel we had to go to the main tourist strip to their partner hotel to pay as apparently the card machine wasn't working and they said we could pay in cash. The hotel has amazing views of the lagoon and the young gentlemen who works in the 'reception room' in the day is very friendly. It doesn't feel safe and is very empty, I would not recommend staying here.

If you read their web site you think to yourself, ok this sounds ok.
How wrong can one be.
So lets look at the positives.: free wifi in reception, clean room, comfy bed and working aircon. Nice garden area leading onto small beach area overlooking Montego Bay.
The negatives: No food or bar, tired and run down public areas.
This is another Hotel in Jamaica that requires input to take it into the 21st centuary.
The location is slightly of the beaten track and would advise car hire if you where planning on staying for any length of time. 
The staff are friendly enough though need dirrection.
Would I stay there again, probaly not its just plain scruffy.
